I'm like alot of you, only make a couple of each card. I have so many sets and so many cards I want to case or design myself so.......I end up with more than I need. Some don't have a background stamp or embossing but then again, some do.
I don't make "A Christmas card" i make about 30 different ones.. every single one. from about october on i make ONLY christmas cards for challenges DT stuff etc, and by the time december rolls around i have enough cards (and more) for my needs..
Even if i DIDN'T do it that way, i probably wouldn't use either! (BG stamp or CB folder) i'd use PATTERNED PAPER 'cause that's just what i do!

I design for: Stampendous!, There She Goes, Technique Tuesday,
SRM Stickers and Deconstructed Sketches.
I used both. The background stamp is on the envelope (I use a brayer to get it somewhat even) and the CB folder is on the card. I included a copy of the movie to my best-est friends and family! Attachment 122572
that is freakin' fabulous!!!!
This is actually my first real holiday season as a demo, so I am doing a few designs for my customers, then some for SELECT family and friends (read: the ones that wont toss it or tell me I have too much time on my hands) the rest get whatever I had picked up on sale after christmas last year. Lesson Learned.
Now what was the question? I am using some with cuttlebug/some with BG stamps and some with DSP.
I've made a variety. Some with CB and some without. I have not used a single BG stamp, I used to love my BG stamps and now I never use them. This is the one I have made the most of : Holly Leaves by Susie B at Splitcoaststampers I totally cased it. Thanks to Susie B - I love her gallery and probably bought more CB folders because of her. Provo Craft needs to put her on salary, she can do amazing stuff with a CuttleBug.

OK, this card was the last straw! I really liked the CB snowflake background but now this holly branch has pushed me over the edge...beautiful! Can I still get these, where, and how will they work in my BS? I have to have them!!
I use a mixture of DSP, CB embossing folders & BG stamps. Like a lot of the others I can't just make loads of one type of card. I usually make 2 or 3 or 10 to 15 different designs for my Christmas cards.
When I have some more finished I will up-load them so you can see them.

There are lots of places to order folders. I think I got this one at Cutathome.com - probably with an order of Nestabilities. If you go to the Tools & Products thread you can find all sorts of info on Cuttlebugs and what works with the different machines. I don't know anything about other machines so I won't be much help there.

I combine them- stamped images layered on embossed backgrounds. I have some with embossed only backgrounds and I have some with stamped backgrounds. I have some with stamped backgrounds with images layered on top.
I am using my Cuttlebug...and maybe some patterned paper..
