Good Morning Ladies, Have fun trick or treating... Let the diets start their slip...it's the end of counting calories until the 1st of the year and that New Year's Resolution thingy... Hey girlies. I had a long day at work today. Those middle schoolers wore me out. And I know they'll be crazy tomorrow since it's Halloween.
I was thinking this AM that all the teachers must be happy that Halloween is a Friday. Seems to me the day after would be worse. Everyone is overtired and eating candy bars at every meal!

I would think so too, I'll have to ask dad tonight, he works @ an intermediate school.....
I remember my parents being wicked strict with this when I was a kid and threw away all the apples, etc, but NEVER did I hear a report of a kid who was sick from a tampered candy. I cannot imagine everyone was crazy like my Mom in searching. I think it just doesn't really happen like we are led to believe. My Mom now gives out apples...

Kelli Jo..I'm a little disappointed, I really expected a HEIFFERS response to who's that flake...not only do they flake on swaps, they also flake on payment!

I just had this emailed to me and cracked up...for all the teacher ho's....
This is a true story, proving how fascinating the mind of a six year old is. They think so logically.
A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She Came to the part of the story where first pig was trying to gather the building Materials for his home. She read . 'and so the pig went up to the man with the Wheelbarrow full of straw and said: 'Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that Straw to build my house?'
The teacher paused then asked the class: 'And what do you think the man said?'
One little boy raised his hand and said very matter-of-factly ...'I think the Man would have said - 'Well, I'll be damned!! A talking pig!'
The teacher had to leave the room.

remember to "check" your children's Candy to make sure it is SAFE.... AMAZING how many tootsie Rolls looked like they had been tampered with when my kids went out....;) :mrgreen:

Happy Halloween! I'll be the same thing I did last year - handing out candy and hitting the haunted house that my neighbors put on every year in their garage. It's more like a "rave," for pre-teens, but they do serve goth-tinis to the adults. . .;)

Went to HL during lunch - no more stickles packs to be found :( But I got the nesties scalloped classic squares for $15! (gotta love those 40% off coupons!)

no they were some of the few left at school today:rolleyes: The nightmares of public transportation. It was never meant to hold close to a million people! Did you see pictures on your news? Quite unbelievable. Knew lots of people that went down. Some still weren't able to get home by 7:30 (those that were trying at least). Nice weather for a parade at least.

Scrappy today, surprised me with 4 packages of stickles.... and yep she paid $1 for each pack of 3... so I got 12 bottles for $4... how crazy is that.
BTW scrappy aren't u on a major spending freeze... I mean, you don't order magnolias and not even the new bella's!!!! Yet you went and bought ALL the Stickles at AC MOORE....
and there's more... those stickles weren't even on display yet. She had the manager go into Pandora's box to get them out for her!!! All of them that they had in stock!
Ooh...I am soo jealous!!! That is soo sweet of Scrappy...not that we would expect anything less.
