Roberta, I like old names too! My friend named her little girl Josephine after her grandma and calls her Josie! Soooo cute. If I have 2 girls, the first will be named Drew, and the 2nd one would be Maggie, my grandmas name was Magdalena.
The other name they had in mind was Sophia Pearl, Sophia was my great grandma's name I love old names too. I think dad shorted Lorraine to Laura, as my grandmother on dad's side was Lorraine.
I think Addicted to RS's shipping is too high, that's why I never buy from them and my cart was full for so long......but it's ok for my DH to pay it
Mcfadden orders from there, I know she has said the service is excellent. And now that I see those Sesame Street stamps....I just have a couple Elmo's Joni Sent me for a character swap...
Hello everyone! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I cannot tell you yet what I have gotten, because we have not exchanged gifts yet!! Spent the afternoon at my Mom's with bro and SIL and have not had our "home" Christmas yet. That'll come tomorrow. We really spread the presents out around here...

Oooh..Pretty!
I've never liked Drew as a boy's name, but as a girl's it's lovely. ( I have a hangup about calling girls Shannon, too.... it just seems weird to me )
Magdalena.... wow. That's beautiful! Sounds like a sage old Mediterranean woman with fantastic earrings and good tea.
I always liked Madeline, and was happy to see that one come back around. Elsabeth, too.
I didn't realize how popular 'Jenna' was until after I had Miss J, and most of the 'Jenna's I encountered were either in their 50's or under 15.
I was supposed to be named after my great-grandmother, but she threw a fit, and convinced my mom to change it while she was still doped up. LOL
Hi all sounds like lots of goodies amassed. I got the craft things I pre ordered online, my first nesties, my first copics and some luxery paper from GinaK. dh and I got a gc to the movies. Can't wait to play with my new stuff, unfortunately I am cleaning up from today and getting ready for a huge onslaught of the In-laws on Saturday, yep we do it all over again and again at my house. I am tired. I just found out dh has to go into work tomorrow so all the prep is on me. Oh well, they get what they get, dirty floors and all I just want to take dd out shopping for bargains tomorrow, oh well save some money.
We had a lovely day.
good night.
I hope everyone is fat dumb and happy after today's meals and presents...
Survived my monday...EASY PEASY $$$$ I though court was gonna be closed tomorrow so I could sneak off for a lil GC spending... got 2 from Target (from SCS'ers) and my $100 M's from Bub from B Day and then at work my secret santa (James) got me a $30 gc to M's...
NOPE Court will be in FULL SWING  DAMN IT!
LJ, I LOVE the name Octavia and Tavi for short. I generally like different names, whether they are new or new-again!
Anyway, I am going to be headed out Boxing day shopping tomorrow... just not sure where, yet... gotta check the websites for flyers... or some on-line stamp company. But, our canadian dollar sucks right now!!!!

Gotta love a SHOT economy...I call it "Job Security!"
Obviously, a Canadian term! The day after Christmas is boxing day. Generally the best sale day in Canada... for you guys, I think that is like the day after thanksgiving?

The gifts have been opened, the packaging recycled, and the children are quiet.... and now I can play with my new toys!
...and yes, ladies, I DID get a baking set ( and it's not even Pyrex. True to his Ward Cleaver nature, Chris bought Anchor, because it's "made in America" ). I took a picture of the box half unwrapped, for posterity. ( and that is why Mrs. Claus shopped in advance and I still got to open bottles of Primas, reinkers and Glimmer Mist in my stocking! ;) )
To his defense, Ward did somehow manage to slip in a hardcover copy of 'The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming' ( I adore Lemony Snicket books ) into my stocking after I'd headed for the shower.... that saved him from having a souffle cup hurled at his head. LOL
Wow! You hubby got something for your stocking?!?! Kudos Chris! My DH was marveling that we are together 16 years this year... And he has NEVER put anything in my stocking!
DH shopped on Christmas eve again...despite the fact that he was just supposed to be giving me $$ to pay off the stamps I was going to order tommorrow. Now I'm not being ungrateful, because believe you me... I will definitely need that manicure after I ruin mine beating him senseless!
DANG! My wishlist remains just that... ...until I sell off a kidney or something anywhooo! ;)
nah... the day after Thanksgiving is called "Black Friday" because the sales supposedly were so good that it kept businesses 'in the black' for the year. Now the economy is so bad that nothing is helping and businesses are failing left and right! :(
Now it seems the day after Christmas (your 'Boxing Day'), is the retail business' last hope. Alot of businesses are using tommorrow as a last ditch effort to improve their bottom line for the year. I'm wondering if I should go out still....
Oh I see.... well, I haven't been able to locate any magnificent sales... so, I am not sure I will be going out, at all.
MY DD wants to go, though, so sometimes, we crawl out after lunch and see what is left!
Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, yet. I am feeling hot/cold, clammy, yucky... so we shall see.... but heading to sleep shortly. Since DH IS OUT OF the hosp, we go to bed by 10pm latest!

She loved almost every minute! She was so funny today! She ran out to check if Santa had come while we slept, and was all bummed out that there wasn't a 'Baby Sister' for her under the tree!
The clock has struck 10, and I must go to sleep... otherwise I will be... I have no idea what I will turn into? A grumpy ol' mama? wait! I am that already! ;)
Now THAT is hilarious! Did she get over not having a baby sister?
