This was fun! I picked an image that was fairly small and detailed. Probably not the best choice! I like my card anyway!

Black Magic Sunflowers
(Oops ... just realized I didn't do the technique correctly ... I colored on the white ink instead of around it ... oh well, I still like the effect)

You know...I'm not sure. I'll do some research this week and see if I can't come up with something.

Well bummer. I thought I at least had baby oil, but I don't! Guess I'll be adding mineral spirits to my shopping list!
I do have Lumiere, so I'll be checking out next week's challenge!

TLC184 Embossed Black Magic
Here is a different take on the technique:
EMBOSSED BLACK MAGIC
I had this idea to try the Black Magic technique on an embossed design. I used my CB EF Leafy Brach to emboss the design on black cs. I then colored with watercolor pencils and OMS (several layers, I might add). I outlined the embossing with a silver colored pencil; added a half-bow (ala, Anne Ryan - hope you don't mind, Anne, that I borrowed your idea) and a sprig of flowers. I like the results...what do you think of it?
tfl & I very much appreciate your comments.

Had to squeeze this card in before going to 'labor' at my job as a rehab nurse (no holidays for us!). It was fun to try out something new (plus it gave me a reason to run to Mike's and use my 50% off coupon on Prisma pencils - ha!).
Delightful Birthday

This is the one I made earlier when I misread the technique, but I hope it's OK to post it here. I noticed I wasn't the only one, LOL, so I don't feel so bad about it.
