Kathy, don't ya just love those "whatcha doin'" calls?! Sounds like you had a busy day!
Amy, WhoootttieeHooo on getting the cards done! Go you!
Erin, please spill some deets on the yummy sounding bars. The piano sounds delightful.
Crissy, sounds like you have been a busy little elf! Have fun at your Christmas party Friday. And candy making - YUM!
Pamela, yum cookies! Ya'll are making me hungry with all this food talk. Hey - you are not on the address list...I would love to have your bday and addy-please send me a pm...
Jen, hope the ice doesn't hose anything up for you! Heat or rescheduling of the mediation. Praying for you for both! There's still 2 weeks til Christmas, plenty of time to get cards and wrap. I have not wrapped anything yet either.
Missi, hope you can get done what you want to this weekend. I know my DH never leaves me alone unless he is physically gone! LOL. Love him anyway.
Rhonda - cheese logs...more food talk, now I am drooling on my keyboard!
Paula, don't worry over much about cleaning! Hope you get your computer fixed soon. Have a great day!
I have never actually *made* Nanaimo bars, just eaten them a couple times. LOL My mom served a mission for our church in Nanaimo, so everyone who comes to visit her from there always shares. :-)
FYI - apparently there were errors (say it isn't so!!!) on the retiring list:
Big Birthday Candle and Warm Words are NOT retiring, but because they were listed on the sale list, SU is honoring the 10% off until the 23rd.
Location: Oklahoma...State (OSU) We love 'em even when they lose, and we're never disappointed!

Cheese Logs are finished, and I made supper (odd as it is...appetizers really). I haven't done the WT challenge yet.....I don't think I'll have time since this is my break before getting the laundry out of the dryer. Then, I'll be off to pick up DD......
I guess I'll share my ignorance....I'd never heard of the city or the bars until today.....They look yummy, but I probably don't need to learn to make another dessert!

Isn't that odd? I wonder if those two are the only ones on the old dormant list that won't appear in the new catty or something?

I don't have a lot of time to post, but I read this as Ice Cream Storm and I thought man I am moving to Jen's house!

The ice storm is headed our way. Right now it's raining. I just got the call that schools are closing an hour early today and Drew doesn't have preschool. I need to see if I can clean the garage to get my parents' car in. Also, find the ice melt (think I know where that is at least). My parents went out shopping and are hitting the grocery store for the next couple days of meals. I really hope we don't lose power/heat. My mom has RA and that would be terrible for her - the gas fireplace will still work, but it doesn't throw off much heat at all. I may turn the heat way up tonight just in case.
I am also babysitting again this morning. I'm part of a babysitting co-op. I've never even had anyone sit for me yet and I've got stacks of tickets! LOL! My friends are all mad because I said I'm saving them for divorce, packing or interviews. I resisted joining the co-op, because I would always watch someone's kids/friends if they needed it. Seems silly to "pay" a friend for it, you know?!
You should see what my dad and I are cooking tonight.
He made a mushroom crepe filling he's been trying to duplicate. It's heavenly. (He's a mushroom hunter and is learning all about wild mushrooms.)
Then I am making a homemade take on Outback's (now deceased) Cyclone Pasta. It's pasta with sundried tomato alfredo sauce (thinning that out to conserve on calories) with spicy chicken (Bobby Flay's 16 spice rub), bits of ham, sundried tomatoes, ****ake mushrooms with gouda sprinkled on top.

How many extra seats should I set??????!!!!!!!!!
I like mushrooms breaded & deep fried with ranch (I know-fattening!) and in Braised Beef Tips, but not much else, but I bet it will be delicious!

Lisa- are you going to the Minnesota Regional on April 3 or 4? trying to decide if I should go or save my money for convention... hmmm...
My one downline and I are going to try and register for the Saturday - this usually fills fast so that remains to be seen. It's just her and I so you are welcome to hang with us if you come. Wish I had a spare room, you would be welcome to stay here! Since we have no kids the other bedroom is my craft room - which would work if you don't mind an airbed.
