I am a collector. I wanted the Disney stuff as SU! doesn't do licensed stuff. So I thought I would stick with those cartridges to start off with as that was my reasoning behind buying the machine. Now I didn't get all the Disney ones as there was a 'Cars' on I didn't get cause we are pass that in my house and so I stuck with the classics; Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font, Winnie-the-Pooh and Pooh Fonts, the two Princesses, the new Tinkerbell and Friends. I love Tinkerbell, she's my favourite 'princess', since I am a big Peter Pan fan. I would love a Peter Pan set. I haven't looked online to see what cartridges are out there to purchase even.
I haven't played yet as I am organizing embellishments right now. A job that will take me a month to complete I think. I'm sticking to just SU! to make it not seem to overwhelming.

I am sure if I had a girl, I would have the princess and tinker bell ones too. I almost bought the cars one so I could do Spencer's room but decided to go with what I had.
OK, so how come none of the nice, normal, cute, available men my friends know live anywhere even close to me???!!!! That is sooooo not fair!!! All I'm looking for is a nice, normal, hard-working guy. You know - kind of like me - nice, normal, hardworking. Doesn't have to be rich, but work to his best/potential at whatever he does (can you tell that was an issue with the ex??!! LOL!!) But, really, when the time is right, the right person will come into my life. Not to get preachy and all that, but God made sure I would get out of this marriage where I had lost myself, lost my self-esteem - I'm pretty sure he'll point me in the right direction when I'm ready/the time is right.
Me too!! Just got back from haircuts for the boys at my dad's barber. Who it turns out is the father of a guy I went to high school with, who happened to be there. It was fun to catch up. He was a year ahead of me, but we hung out with some of the same people, and no, matchmakers , he is not single!! LOL!!
I also went to my favorite discount/dollar type store down here. Some good crafting deals!! I got a couple packs of making memories paper - 24 sheets for $1.99!!! And a couple of other things, but I can't really say what because some might end up as bonuses in my elfette's package. How could I not send her something from Amazing Savings - my favorite NJ store - even though it's not SU?!
I am a big believer in going natural too! I only clean with natural products, except for that wonderful Magic Clean eraser -which is full of chemicals - but gets Sharpie marker off of bathroom cabinets. Omega Fish oil is great and I take probiotics for the tummy too.
Ellie - I'm sorry to hear about your daughter that passed. They are doing more and more research into SIDS and someday will find the answer. When Drew was diagnosed with his heart defects, I thought about every single thing I had done while pregnant - that half glass of champage at my brother's wedding, the non-natural cleaning products I used at the time - that cigarette I smoked when I was 16, etc., but in reality they really don't know what causes these things. In fact, they think some cases of SIDS might be electrical disturbances in the heart. It's all very interesting and I feel very lucky that Drew made it to diagnosis at 6 months old. I'm glad to hear that you've gone natural in some areas. Cleaning supplies really should be next, if you can afford to make the switch. The other thing I avoid is all artifical sweetners, which are very bad for you, and artifical fats. Your body/liver know how to process natural products, like sugar, honey, and butter and olive oil. They are far healthier, in moderate doses, than stuff your body doesn't know what to do with. JMHO, of course.
Just thinking that DH always makes a point to tell his mom that margarine in only one molecule away from plastic! Stick with butter, at least ya know where it came from.
Guess who else made it to $1000 in sales this month! ME!!! I knew I would be close after my club order finalized, but we were within $13 of a $350 order and the hostess decided to bump it to get that extra stamp set and that put me over the top. Of course, I would have bumped it if she hadn't but I am glad it was her and not me.
This is the first time I've done that two months in a row. Usually I have one good month and then an extra slow month.
What she said. I am off to make pumpkin pie before dinner. Then I am going to run some errands. And I got two elf projects worked out today! I feel like I am finally emerging from my creative slump.
Well, you're moving, aren't you???? :-) Good things are coming!
I hope so!!! I am sooo not into the games, don't care about looks, money...just want a soulmate - someone to hold hands with when I'm in my 70's.....
Who knows about the move....I think so, but STBX may put up a lengthy court battle.
So, my mom has been looking for this expensive tv - high def, huge, etc. and I'm trying to tell her that she can get it online for cheaper. We found it on Amazon much cheaper, but she doesn't believe Amazon sells "new" things. Sigh....

LOL!! Between my dad and my mom it's nothing but trouble!!
My dad is on as much as I am and says that all I do is computer...he doesn't "get" that that's how my generation stays in touch....we email or IM each other!!
Hang in there Jen - who ever he is, he is worth the wait. I did not get married until I was 35. (one reason for no kids). He was totally worth it.
I'm in no hurry, actually. Well, I'd like to have a date every now and again...just to get out of the house!!! LOL! But, my priority is my children and making sure they are OK, so I'll wait. All in time......I'm good.
I know that some of you are leary of facebook, but I just had an internet chat with an old friend from high school. It was totally fun. He'll be at the reunion on Sat. and it will be good to catch up.
My goodness you girls make me tired just reading your posts!
Everyone is busy with the holiday plans, and classes and stampin and everything else, but what a great time of the year for all of us!!
Just wanted to drop in to say that I am thankful for all of you...no matter what kind of day I have had at the hospital, I know I can come home to a great laugh and my SA buddies! I don't post as much as I would like but I love to read and catch up every day!
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!!

I so agree! Give me real butter and real sugar any day over the artificial stuff! And you all are right about the natural cleaning products - I need to make a better effort in that area.
Way to go on your sales this month, Paula! And with everything you have had going on, it's especially great!
Erin, I bought a Cricut Expressions this summer. I have no idea how it differs from the other one - I just saw this one at Wal-Mart and bought it, and I love it! Especially for doing letters, because I can make them any size I want.
Jen, sounds like you're having a great time with your family and friends! Enjoy that reunion this weekend - hope you have a terrific time!(Of course, if it's a bust, you could always plan a trip with your boys to San Diego sometime this winter . . . (!!);) I have a guest room!
Hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving1 I too am so very thankful for all of you sweet SA friends! What a joy and a blessing you are to me!

I was one of the leary ones, but I have to admit that I am having a blast there. My prom date tracked me down on facebook last weekend. We were never more than friends so it was especially fun to catch up.
And I have to agree with what ever one has said. I too am thankful for my SA friends. This thread has been a life line to me, especially during the past two months of craziness in my life. I appreciate all the banter and wisdom and fun we share here. You are all the best and don't even let anyone (including yourself) tell you any different.
Ok, all you experts. :-) My asthma is much better--it didn't take as long as I thought to get that inhaler-caused inflammation down. BUT, this morning at 3 am, I was coughing, and I heard a loud POP in my lower right ribs in my back. And excruciating pain. Ibuprofen, ice, dh even had some hydrocodone from his last kidney stone episode. Yay for pain drugs.
A couple hours later, I felt another pop without the pain, like something had gone back in. There was no lump before, and there still isn't one. It's not terribly sore to the touch. It is quite bearable unless I cough. <roll eyes>
But I'm having muscle spasms. Other than calcium, ice, ibuprofen and hydrocodone {grin}, is there anything I can do till I can see my doctor tomorrow? I just will need more pain pills and maybe a muscle relaxant. This poor doctor. I just started going to him last week. LOL He's going to think I'm a crazy.
Hhhhmmm, I would assume anti-inflammatory agents. My doc says the minute I start coughing/think I'm getting bronchitis to start taking anti-inflammatories, as they help the airways too. Do you have any muscle rub? I like the natural ones with chili powder in them.
Oh, and a gin and tonic!!!! Tonic water actually has a "medicine" in it that helps relax muscle spasms. Tonic water was originally used for malaria treatment, I think. But the quinine (sp?) is a relaxant, plus the alcohol - which you probably shouldn't drink if you're on pain meds, but some tonic water over ice with lemon or lime might ease things.
I have been online most of the day today. My mom really wants a 42 in. high def, lcd tv, so I have been hunting down the bargains for her. Best Buy is now honoring the instore price online with free shipping!
FYI. I subscribe to bfads.net. They just sent out an email to subscribers to notify them that some retailers are
starting their online sales today (such as Target). Here is the message:
Hello Black Friday Subscribers,
What we're seeing today is absolutely unprecedented: 15 retailers are
offering their online Black Friday or Thanksgiving Day sales right
now! Such retailers include major stores like Walmart, Best Buy,
Target, Dell Home, Sears and more.
We've also been keeping track of all the "in-store" items currently
available online for their Black Friday prices on our Online Deals
page here: http://bfads.net/Online-Deals
Not all stores have their online door-busters currently available, but
they should be listed in the very near future. Take advantage of these
deals and you could have your Black Friday shopping done all on
Thanksgiving!
(((hugs))) Amy. But gentle ones so they won't hurt. I have no advice except to get some rest and take it easy. Hopefully you aren't cooking for the masses today.
Thanks for the link Jen. We are also in the market for a great deal on a 40-42 inch TV. We will only replace our tube TV (that is on it's last leg) if we can get a great deal on one.
I'm not entirely sure what I did to my back. I think I might have dislocated a rib, and then it went back in. I'm mostly having muscle spasms in it, oh, and then wanting to die from the cough I still have.
I need some really good drugs. More hydrocodone and maybe a muscle relaxant.
Well, this isn't going in the books as my favorite Thanksgiving. :-) I am really blessed that dh loves to make holiday dinners. He and my 3 teenaged girls did the whole thing.
