We had so many fantastic ideas from our hostesses for the JUNE 2008 VSBN Cruise that we decided to have an AFTER PARTY!!!
These are cruise related ideas but can be used to scrap book any life event.
The hostesses will NOT be on-line for these challenges.

JUN08VSBNR: All U Can Eat Buffet
Hostess: Shastess (Tess)
Everyone knows that one of the BEST things about a cruise is the food right? I mean you can eat and eat and eat! This is perfect for my husband because he is a bottomless pit! At Quiznos he gets the LARGE steakhouse sub its $9 just for the sandwich! Good Grief! So anywhere foods included is perfect for him.
Your challenge is this forget less is more this time more is MORE! And the more the better All the embellies and papers you can get onto one layout! Lets say at least 3 different papers and 8 different embellies! Keep looking through your stash for more more MORE!
Just so you know my layout has:
8 buttons, 6 primas, 5 brads, 5 rhinestones, 2 diecuts, hardware, ribbon, a safety pin, and an entire pack of rub-ons!!!!!!!!!!!!
My example is a cluster layout where you group things together in one corner or going down the side of a pic. If you want to cluster your embellies like I did there will be bonus points!!!!! Attachment for this challenge is in post #3 Baby Blues.

JUN08VSBNS: Pack Your Suitcase
Hostess: Mholles (Melanie)
Going on trips is so much fun, but packing can be a challenge. Especially today when airlines are charging more for each bag we take. My challenge to you is to make a page using only a limited amount of supplies. All of these items are lightweight so they wont take up too much room in your suitcase. You are limited to: neutral cardstock, pattern paper, rub-ons and ribbon. You can use your basic tools trimmer, scissors, pens, and adhesive - but no big heavy bulky tools. Attachment for this is in post #3 Purse Handbag Pocketbook

JUN08VSBNT: Your cabin or Mine?
Hostess: Misermom (Staci)
Your Cabin or Mine?
Sounds like something people would have said on "The Love Boat", doesn't it? Well, in this challenge you are asked to scrapbook a compare/contrast layout. You can use photos to tell the story or even just words. There are many ideas that would lend themselves to being compared - young/old, current/past, dirty/clean - all of those ideas...or one of your own! Try to show in your title or your journaling that you are making a comparison to make it clear. Samples are at the bottom of this page as an attachment. Your lawn or mine? Attachment for this challenge is below in this post. Your Lawn or Mine?

JUN08VSBNU: Go For this and Go for that
Hostess: Mary_Pat419 (Mary Pat)
Do you know how Gopher got his nickname? He goes for this and goes for that. Dont you feel like a gopher sometimes? Whether it's for you family, friends, boss, etc.! Show us how youre a Gopher in your daily life but with a twisthide your journaling. You could make a flip picture, a slide out, or write in pig latinthe choice is yours!
Use this sketch from Sally as your guide (SBSC 137):

JUN08VSBNV: Doc challenge
Hostess: Buckeyestamper (Caroline)
Pick an old layout that you are just not so proud of or one that is just too plain and doctor it up. Add embellishments. What I'd really like to see is you add some type of stamping.
Show a before picture and an after you doctored up your page picture.

JUN08VSBNW: Daily Calendar
Hostess: Refinnej2 (Jennifer)
One of my favorite things on a cruise is the daily calendar that they leave in your room that outlines all of the different things that you can do on any given day. Your challenge is to complete a
double page spread where one page has pictures and the other page is designed to look like the cruise daily calendar outlining all of the different things that you did.

JUN08VSBNZ: Cruisin
Hostess: Shastess (Tess)
Using the title CRUISIN - doesn't have to be of a cruise - could be 16 year old in their first car, little kid on a trike, or one of those power wheels, or like Cruisin USA - for a travel album title page -etc

JUN08VSBNAA: Hawaiian prints
Hostess: jluvssu (Jessica)
When I think of vacations and cruises I think of Hawaiian print shirts! I challenge you to use a piece of Hawaiian print fabric on your pg. On my sample pg. below I used some Hawaiian print fabric cut into log strips and tied in a bow. Other ideas....cut out some of the pattern to use on your pg., use a piece as a background on your pg., use a piece as an embellishent. I look forward to seeing how your Hawaiian prints pgs. come out! Have fun with this challenge!!! Feel free to scraplift my layout if you would like! This is as an attachment in post #3 (third attachment)
