I have seen some wonderful samples in the galleries using coloured pencils. I had the opportunity to get a great deal (FREE) set of 60 prismacolour pencils.
What do I do with them? Are these used in the same fashion as watercolour pencils? Do I colour my heavy lines then use my blender pen or aquapainter?
Someone told me I needed gamisol. What is this & where do I get it?
I don't do this technique but it is gamsol which is odorless mineral spirits. There are other brands of OMS and you can find them at art stores and stores like Michael's in the fine arts department. And you use stumps, which are paper wads that look like pencils and are near the art pencils, to blend the colors with the OMS.
