I WILL NOT look at what TOD bought... I will not click on the links... I will not spend more money..... I WILL NOT.....
Yeah ok, you know that wouldn't work. Love it all -- especially that ruler. Wonder if anyone local will carry it? I think Inky Fingers has some Tim Holtz stuff... I even watched the video!
And I did find some of those templates when I was cleaning up a bit around here last week...
Are you transporting yourself here??? I'm free tomorrow!
Not tomorrow but 7/26 is still looking good (DH looked at a map and found a shorter route - I prefer easy routes but if he drives I can take notes and shave time off future gatherings!)
We still have to wait until the last possible moment to officially RSVP but I'm glad it seems probable!
I hope so too!! I'd love to knw what route you find as well.... just out of curiousity and for future excursions.
I didn't look at the map myself but I think he said something about Route 28 (it doesn't sound familiar but I probably only travel on 4-5 roads when I'm driving).
After he checks the map more carefully, I'll share here (in part to make sure it is, indeed, a good route).

Oh yeah, DH used to take Rte 28 when he worked at YMCA camp (where we met) in the Catskills. It's a good road, and would be a pretty summer drive for sure.
I'm glad DeMud is coming, but do you think any of us should be posting our addresses and phone #s here on the internet? a pm or snail mail would be a safer thing to do.

hey Kari, I think I know what camp you met at...can't remember the name. A co-worker at my last job was quite involved with one down that way.

Really!?!?!! It's Frost Valley YMCA. HUGE camp, very nice facilities. They serve hundreds of kids every summer. I only did one summer there, but Joe was there at least 3 or 4.

I try not to post such things out in public, but hopefully all will be fine!

yeah, that's the one! My former co-worker, Bob Fortier, lives in Candor (Tioga Co.) and if I remember correctly, takes a group of kids there every year. He is very enthusiastic about the place. I've never been there, but been nearby. I talked to the staff a few years ago when they were trying to get some of my Green Thumb participants to help them out.
