I'd been using HTML code for a long time, but just discovered that you can upload the pic, then click on it, then click on the little green globe (same one you use to turn text into a link) and *poof* your link is made.
I cannot make this work for photos in my side bar. In blogger, i went to layout page, added a page element to the side. I cannot make that picture be a link. I have seen other's pages that do it. Thanks.

I keep a "play blog" just for that reason. They are free, so I am not out anything. That way I can goof around with codes. To get an HTML code for a linkable side widget just create your linkable pic in a regular post and then switch to HTML copy/paste the code and then upload as an HTML sidebar in the blog you want it. Does that make sense?;)

I think this would work with a side bar photo... you have to have your photo stored online somewhere (I use PictureTrail).
I use to have a picture in my sidedbar that said "my gallery" and I think this is the code that I used.... I have so many codes saved, I forget what they do
