I have been using the Georgia Pacific with what I thought were good results. But today I couldn't get a large surface stamp to ink up properly (or so I thought). I tried on the GP several times, even re-inked my choc chip pad and tried. Finally I thought to try it on the real thing "whisper white" and had no trouble at all. It took up the ink and made a great solid image, so now I am re-thinking the GP paper for the image panel.

I have both SU Whisper White and Georgia-Pacific white and it depends on what I'm doing whether I use one or the other. I love Versafine black ink, but it doesn't dry fast enough on Whisper White (I'm impatient) which means I get black smearies (a brand-new technical term) in my marker or Prismacolor coloring. I don't get the smearies on my Georgia-Pacific cardstock.

Office Depot carries the 110 lb cardstock in white and an off white.

Hi, I can't seem to find these good cardstocks here and wonder if anyone in Australia can suggest an appropriate weight cheaper cardstock - we pay double the US price for everything SU!

This question is referring to Papertrey white cardstock. It is the heaviest white cardstock I have seen and is a beautiful quality as well. It is equally has heavy as any of SU's colored cs!

Also...I have a package of GP Image Plus Cardstock - white. It says on the package 100 lb weight. I took a piece of it compared it to SU Whisper White CS - which on the SU package says 80 lb. SU seems to feel thicker. Then I took a piece of SU Pretty in Pink CS (also says 80 lb.) and compared it to the SU Whisper White....the Pink feels way thicker than the white?? What's with that? Is SU colored CS thicker even though the weight is the same? I don't get it. And them I compared the SU Pink with another SU color (can't remember what color it was) and one was more flimsy than the other?

Another thing...I have LOTS of Bazzill CS in many colors and textures. They are all different. Some is very thin and would never work for a card base. Some is thicker with texture (obviously not ideal for basic stamping and coloring but great for a cardbase or layering and diecuts)

I think cardstock is like a pair of shoes....try 'em till you find the one that fits right and matches the outfit ;)

I think if folks are in areas where desirable cardstock isn't available in the stores, they should check with the local printers. They should have samples for looking and feeling; they probably have at least some whites in stock; and they will order anything of interest, including envelopes. Their orders are usually filled in a few days. They will charge a retail price but it would save shipping costs. And it may not be necessary to order by the ream if less is desired...(I'm not sure about this).
