What is the difference between pearlex and perfect pearls? I thought one of them was a cream, but they are both in a powder form.
The perfect pearls I bought came with a perfect medium. Does anyone know what this is? It looks like a small versamark pad to me. Is there a difference?
Perfect Pearls does not require the addition of gum arabic as a binder if you are going to mix it with water for painting, so it's more of an all-in-one product.
Perfect Pearls is also more widely available in open stock, so you don't have to buy more colors than you want.
Pearl ex has to have a binding agent or it will rub off or not stick.

If you stamp in Veramark, and then brush over it with Pefect Pearls, it will stay put. Pearl Ex will have to be sprayed with a fizative. Another good example was given in the post above.
Pearl Ex has more colors though than Perfect pearls.
Personally I use the Perfect Pearls as I think it is easier and I do not have to mess around adding a fixative to it.
Ok, here's a tip I learned from the Ranger people (Perfect Pearls)... use Perfect Medium to stamp with, dust with PP & brush off excess. Then LIGHTLY spritz with a little water. This will activate the binder in the PP. Trust me, I've always loved the pp and only love them MORE now that I know to spritz them.
