I think that's what frustrates me the most! when I was working the other day I had someone asking me about SU! and I couldn't go on and on about our stuff, because I was at Micheal's. I told her that I couldn't discuss it while there, but I could give her my card and if she wanted to call me I would be glad to show her the SU! stuff and discuss it. I am very careful to not cross the line, because it wouldn't be fair of me to use the environment of Michael's and my classes to promote my SU! business. The demos that do this make me so angry! Sometimes I think I'm too cautious about it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry!
At Joann's this Sat there was a craft day with different booths. I tried the one stroke painting, etc. At the stamping area, this lady was making a card. As I made her card, I mentioned a few things I noticed. I was the only person there at the time -- I wasn't trying to upstage her. She said "Yeah, I know. I prefer SU stuff as well." I asked her if she had a demo or would be interested in being one. She took my info and gave me hers. I am sending her an invitation to my open house, the spring mini, and a demo booklet. Lets all start praying. Imagine, how cool if in my first month as a demo I had a downline!
Have to "jump" on this boat!! Snob all the way!! SU just rules when it comes to quality.......I work in a scrapbook store and hate to push the stamps and pads.....way over priced and quality is "YUCK"!!!
SU all the Way!!!!

Count me in snob sisters!!! I had stamp camp last week and ran out of black card stock and had to buy a few sheets at a scrapbooking store - wow...could I tell a difference. You can not beat the quality of Stampin' Up!!
My philosophy is, "buy the best and only cry once." SU! rocks and I am a total SNOB!
 I LOVE this quote! Yes, after buying my share of inferior craft products and WASTING them, I've now stepped over the line and become a SU snob! It's SOOO worth the money and I have to bite my tongue to keep from speaking up when I see my close friends get excited about the "great deals" they get at Mike's and the dollar store.
I like SU products b/c everything from the eyelets to the paper matches....But do not get me wrong, I will buy other things from other places...i like to save money sometimes too
I am also an SU! snob. Before joining SU! I have a lot of cardstock from other companies, but let me tell you when I first got my SU! cardstock I went around the house with SU! cardstock and another brand just so my family could see and feel the difference. SU!'s cardstock is so much better quality and the weight is great, it's not flimsy like other ones I have. I also love their ink pads, I fell in love with them because I didn't have to worry about where I was going to put the lid down when the pad was opened. Well, I love my SU!.

Count me in as a SU snob too! I'll by monoadhesive refills at Viking, but that's about it. SU paper ROCKS!!! I have a bunch of non-SU paper from before I was a demonstrator and I use that as my scrap paper to stamp on, or for the little kids that come to my demos and want to stamp. Why waste the good stuff on 4 - 7 year olds??

I am the original poster and at least for my Michael's, I demo what they give me to demo. I certainly don't use my own supplies for demos. Certain companies send packets to just stamp and assemble or scrap up and I sit at the station and do it and then show people where those supplies are if they get interested. So, to answer your question, No to the colorbox colors and art pencils (unless those companies send it out). I did demo Anna Griffin ink and paper once. That was still not comparable to SU but not as shabby as the stuff last weekend.

Hi, my name is Lisa, and I am a SU! snob.......I have a huge stack of 'other' paper that my kids bought me over a year ago Christmas, and it never gets used! I am now breaking it out when my 4 yr/old wants to 'scrapbook'. I have a friend who is a really good customer and I love to show her scrapbooks at my parties. She has one 'before' SU! and one 'after' and it is soooo apparent that the SU! scrapbooks look so much more put together and professional! I will never use anything else. The inks and the papers takes all the guess work out of it, since they all match!

Snob here also. I have bought paper from Michael's & it is just not the quality of SU. I just don't buy anything unless it is not available from SU (then I probably don't need it anyway!!)
