Default Haiku Bunny on Ebay

Just a heads up that I saw the rare/discontinued (and generally very high priced) Hero Arts Haiku Bunny for sale on E-bay today. Current bid at $3.99.
Wish I had got mine that low...

Oh, I imagine it'll go up right at the end of the auction. Seems like people are (finally) getting smarter about not driving up the price by starting too early.

I hear ya. The seller didn't know she had a collectors item. Usually this stamp starts off at about $30.

I guess you really have to know your stuff. If I'd seen this stamp in the thrift store, I probably wouldn't have picked it up for .25!

Me either, what is the appeal? I must be missing something.

I've seen cards where the wrap around the bunny was overlaid with fine yuzen (Japanese) printed papers, and they were just gorgeous.

Here is a link to a sample:

(Hey! I'm not selling anything, just sayin' this is a neat stamp.)

I really like the image. I could never pay a huge amount because I'm just that way. I haven't seen other images like it so I can see why someone would pay high dollar for it.

If you love all things Oriental, then this is a very cute "Japanese Bunny." Ten years ago, I would have used it a lot. Changed patterns now.

I used to have this stamp. I remember hunting ALL OVER trying to find it, lol! Then when I finally got it, I just couldn't do anything with it. Granted, I had really cut back on my stamping, though. So I finally decided to ebay it, since it was getting so much money...I couldn't justify holding on to a stamp that I never used rather than sell it and get lots of money for it.

The auction before mine got $62 for their bunny...I think mine sold just a week or so later for much less than that, maybe $30-ish. Fickle, fickle....you just never can tell.

Guess it's not hot anymore, it ended under $7:

Wow, I have this stamp...didn't realize it was so coveted! I used it several times when it was new, but the poor thing is gathering dust now. I still think it's pretty though. Shame I didn't realized how much I could have gotten for it when it was hot! LOL!

Am I the only one that thinks it looks like the bunny has a rash on it's little bunny-butt? I like a lot of the Asian themed stamps, but this one just never appealed to me. Oh well, if we all liked (and spent big bucks) on the same things, the world would be pretty darned boring . . .

LOL! I feel that way about some stamps that other people love and I think maybe it's just me?! But man...some are butt ugly and I just can't for the life of me understand what other people see in them! But you are right...how boring if we all liked the same thing...and some people can make those BU stamps looks good, really
