ATC means Altered Trading Card - a small sized version of a card. I believe the dimensions are something like 2 1/2 x 3 or similiar - there is a standard, but I dont' make them often, so I don't remember what it is.
I do know that you can set up a standard 8/12 x 11 piece of cardstock to get 8 or 9 cards from one sheet. I bet the template is on splitcoast somewhere...

Oh those are much too small for me! I need a bigger cavas to color on!!
Thanks so much for answering my ? I still am in the dark about alot of things on this site.
I know whay you mean, I think that I am in the hole already, but I have justified that because we are starting a New Year and a New Syatem, so that means a CLEAN SLATE!!!!
I think that I'm going to allot myself a set amount of money to spend based upon exercise as well. Perhaps in addition to $20 for 15 cards I make I'll allot myself $1 for each 15 minutes I exercise.
My dh just suggested that I'm not giving myself enough for the exercise (gotta love the guy!), so I've decided to change it to $1 for each 10 min. Now that I'm exercising again I'd better get making those cards as well.
Thanks so much for this suggestion. I was in serious need of accountability, and I think this will really help! Maybe I'll get in better shape physically as well!
Oops. I'm taking a class online the first week of January and needed one small supply. But I also bought a stamp. Starting out in the hole and better get to work!
I signed up for a class in January, but it is already paid for, I hope that doesn't count because I haven't made anything yet! I am going to start in January. I also signed up for a 12 hour crop in February so that will help!

My time frame is December 26 2007 to December 25 2008. I've made SIX cards so far. I have this urge to go to Michael's - for WHAT? - I'm probably set for life on the crafting items I have collect in ONE YEAR! They just keep coming out with new stuff!
I do have some scrapbooking I need to do...lots of it.

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, if you can find them, maybe you can hire...

I may start today too, so all the thank you cards for Christmas and my son's birthday gifts will count!
Off to get started!

If the class is already paid for, it doesn't count. But if you need to buy supplies for it, they DO count. But, then, whatever you create counts as well so it's all good!
This is the challenge for me. My DH dosen't care how much I spend, but I need a little motivation to use what I already have. I also like the additional exercise motivation since I find on the evenings that I stamp I don't exercise. Hopefully this will be the kick in the pants to get me doing both on a daily basis.
Let's see, I made 50 cards for a swap last night....so how much do I get to spend??!!!!
I love the exercise to spend idea too...I love to exercise, so that would be great to push me to go another 10 min. or something, but I broke my ankle, so that's out of the question for the next 3 months!! Oy!

hmmm...we'll it does add to your productivity and allows you to enjoy your craft space and frees up your creativity...I would say...YES! The question is, how much credit do you get?

PLease let me know how much credityou get because right now I am taking a break, but every craft, stamp and scrapbook product that I own is in my hallway waiting to be returned to its correct place as soon as I move in my brand new extra long table that I got for Christmas. I needed a redo in my stamp room, it was a HUGE mess.
Ohh!! I SO need to be a part of this! It's scary how much $ I can spend on supplies. I've perfected the 'art' of collecting supplies. I think I'll start now!
Just got to figure out how to add it to my siggy.

Smiles,
I was hedging until I saw this idea. I have done better lately at using my supplies, but the more I use, the more I want to buy. Now, I do aerobics twice a week. I used to do a third workout on my own, but I've been really bad since I had major surgery six months ago. One problem with card making is it keeps me on my butt, so I'm all about this stamp and exercise idea! Count me in! I'm off to alter my profile!
I need help. I'm not seeing where you can do this in "profile".
I tried to do it in the signature are, but it says that I am limited to three lines. It seems like some people have more than three lines. How did you do this?
I think it is only $1.00 for every 10 minutes, not $1.00 per minute. We would all be some broke skinny stampers though! I'm glad I came across this again. I made 20 one-layer cards the other night...it felt so good to accomplish something fun! I will have to do the exercise challenge too. My husband doesn't mind whatever I spend, bless his heart, but I want to be responsible and the paper I have collected is out of control.
Yay to all of us for applying some discipline!
I like the excercise aspect of this challenge as well, but I will be honest with you, the bulk of my dollrs will be from using up my stash, rather then the minutes that I exercise.
You guys are going to help me tons! I have *STUFF* as my DH calls it that just sits there - no new SU until I make some money! Ahhh the new catty calls to me... Maybe this will keep me from scrambling at the last minute on my cards like I do, also!
Mine says 5 lines but how do you make it different fonts and colors???? Gotta look cool if I plan to keep it up - yep I'm one of those people!
I'm jealous! Why does yours say 5? Are you a paid subscriber? HMMMM....now I am curious! As for color and such, when you are in the edit window, there is an "A" with a bar under it and an arrow next to it, that is the color selector. Hit the arrow and you will get color choices. For fonts, just use the font pull down menu near the "A". hth!

I guess I don't get this............is this with the intention of selling the cards??? I'm confused.
I think most of us are just purchasing supplies faster than we are using them, so the challenge is to do a certain amount of creating before getting new stuff.

Exactly...a lot of use are collectors of supplies and they don't get used at the same rate as we purchase. I am proud to say that I resisted buying today. I really didn't need anything and kept that in mind as I perused the stores. I went to several stores and only bought a single package of flowers (it had flowers, brads and some matching buttons) for $2.97 from Walmart. It was very cute.

Then maybe I need to step up and become a paid member. hmmm....does that count against my $$$
That's a great question. My membership has lapsed (been meaning to renew), and this site is a stamping supply, or maybe entertainment/sanity. Should it count against us? After all, we'd be supporting this wonderful site.

I'm glad to say that I resisted as well. I had a 50% off coupon for M's, but I really don't need anything. Of course, I bought a bunch of stuff on clearance the day before I started this challenge. Then, I read a thread about great stuff at Target, and I was dying to run over (in the rain), but I resisted.
I'll chime in here...I would say that joining SCS is 'Education' and therefore NOT to come out of our 'earned' account
Update: I did straighten up my craft area as planned...made 8 cards today (a gift set...a OSW). Tomorrow I need to make a birthday card for my sister...an anniversary card for B/SIL...and a birthday card for a great nephew. If I have time I will make another gift set.
I did a walk through Michael's and AC Moore today....with Xmas money. I got a box (24) of Prismacolor pencils, the blender stumps, and their version of the Gamasol (Mona Lisa I think). Can't wait to try it out tomorrow on the birthday cards!!!!
Great idea! I just finished making Christmas Thank Yous for me and the kiddos to send; didn't get to 30, but almost! Will go and make a couple more cards and then I have 'earned' $40 to spend! I like this...
