Yes, it says somewhere in the catalog that all stamps are shown actual size.
And I am a bit suprised about the number of German demos, too. Stamping is big here (well, bigger than scrapbooking at least, not that this would take much effort, though), but I guess, since SU is an American company, it is much better known in the UK because you speak the same language. You would be suprised at the number of Germans who don't speak enough English to participate in the US MBs and therefore know very little about the whole business. I even know a few people of my age who don't even access the internet. And honestly, without the internet you are restricted to the local craft shops, that offer maybe 30 different stamps, a few inkpads and, if you are lucky, some embossing powder... I don't think I would be as 'crafty' if it weren't for all the posibillities (shopping and inspiration) the internet provides.

I am sorry about this triple post. My computer never jumped back to the forum, so I hit enter again (and again), not realizing that it has already accepted my relply.

Hello! My name is Claire and I sent my demo application off on Friday. How long did everyone else have to wait to get their kit? Will hopefully be 'talking' to you all on the demo side soon!

I noticed on my box- and experience that DHL is taking 48 hours, so if you ordered Friday it would probably be processed tomorrow, sent Tuesday arrive Thursday.
If you posted Friday- it will arrive tomorrow, if you are lucky Chris will go through it with you- he is great, and it will be sorted Monday/Tuesday, shipped Wednesday and hopefully be with you Friday or next Monday, DHL don't normally deliver on a Saturday.
Hope this helps, it is very exciting when it arrives VERY EXCITING!
Welcome to our club!
We have 2 other blogs for demos, one for chat one for projects, if you want to know who runs them PM me or Caz or Rachel or Helen/Bagpuss or any of us really.
I heartily recomend you join the demos forum on here it is great as well!
Thanks for your reply! I'm hoping that chatting to other demos will calm me down a bit - I'm a bit nervous as I'm quite shy and I've never done anything like this before. Will hopefully be able to join you on Stamping for Real when I get my brain round some photography and photo editing.

If it's any consolation, I got my first party booking today... and didn't stop shaking for 10 minutes after I put the phone down!
I am a new Demo in Germany!
I will have an OPEN HOUSE in February and also a Workshop at my sisters house.
I am ALREADY shaking!
I also have no experience selling stuff to others, but since I love what SU! offers it hopefully will be okay!
Good luck and welcome aboard, Bianca! I have no sales experience - I'm terrible at it - but I hope my love of stamping will sell the products for me. You'll be fine!
Bagpuss - that's great that you have a link in your siggy to help people find a UK demo - 'cos, that info isn't currently available from SU!
I've found a demo now after following a link from someone's blog but before I found my demo I emailed SU! to ask where my nearest demo was. The reply from them was:
"At the moment, we are still in the process of gathering information, on how far or close your next demonstrator will be. As soon as we have sufficient information on a demonstrator close to your area, we will get in touch with you."
I do understand it's early days but it's frustrating for us folk that are not able to be demos but are champing at the bit to get our mitts on SU! goodies!
While I'm posting, I'm wondering if anyone in the UK has signed up for an SU! Open Night in London, Birmingham or Bristol?
