Just back from Thanksgiving Dinner with the family. It went very well. Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. Even though it isn't late I have to rest for tomorrow is the first day of Christmas shopping. I don't have nothing really to get but it is fun to watch everyone else hurrying around.

Shopping the day after Thanksgiving is the only thing that I really miss by taking this "annual" ski trip. Jim skied alone this morning while Liz caught up on some much needed sleep. They both skied this afternoon. I finished our Christmas cards, made a couple of items for Christmas gift swaps, and finished cards for two swaps! Very productive day. We have reservations at 8 p.m. at a wonderful restaurant here in Breckenridge. We just came in from the hot tub--temperature is in the single digits, and the hot tub is outside. Felt great, though! Tomorrow, I'm going to make journal and pen sets for Liz to give to her friends for Christmas along with a couple more items for Christmas gift swaps. I'm enjoying this trip as much as they are Glad your family dinner went well.
How was everyone's Turkey day? Mine started out in the ER, my headache and neckache was at it's absolute worst today, I woke up crying and Chris took me to the ER and I've been sooo doped up today, I can hardly remember it! It wasn't a bad day though, I feel so much better that I'm on meds now!
I think we will get more people so lets say 2 projects for everyone. Glad you are coming. Can't wait to meet you and your new born baby boy. I got you down for Juicy Juice.

What time was everyone thinking of? We can say 10am - 6pm and if you want to stay for dinner, great (just let us know), and if not we will miss you. We would have supper after 6pm. How does this sound Girls??

I think that 10-6 sounds good with dinner following. We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner last evening in the fantastic steak restaurant here (we will go back Saturday for steak!) Made it seem a little more like the holiday to have turkey. Now if I could have just gone to Michaels and JoAnns for black Friday sales! I did find a stamp store and a scrapbook store here, and I bought a little. I'm working on covered composition books with matching pens for Liz's friends for Christmas. They're off skiing--and I am sitting here stamping. Sounds great to me!
I would love to be where you are. I do like to ski but haven't done it in many years because my husband and daughter don't know how. I grew up skiing every Sunday with my mom and dad and sister until I was 14. My dad cut two of his fingers off in an accident at work and we didn't ski after that much because my dad had skin grafts and the extreme cold on the top of the moutain was too much for him.
I need to get back stamping. I did go to JoAnn's today but only bought two little things. One for me and one for you. I was there really for my mom and sister. I gave them all the good coupons. Yes, I invited them to come along with me. Guess they like me because my mom invited us for soup on Sunday. I will still keep my distance and guard up, don't worry. Just had left over turkey and stuffing sandwiches (my favorite).

My weekend was great also--but I am glad to be home. I received 12 swaps in the mail today (that's mail from last Wednesday on!), plus many RAKs. I have lots to do now to get caught up. It's fun to go away--but busy when you do return home.
I think 10-6 sounds good for that Sat. I didn't plan on attending on Fri., too.
I have been busy making more meals for the freezer and baking zucchini bread and blackberry cobbler (had to thaw those items to make room for the meals). I nursed DD and it seems she always got hungry when I was cooking dinner or getting ready to start on it. SO, I thought I'd better plan ahead and get something prepared. All I'll have to do is thaw and pop them in the oven to warm them up.
I know sorry :( I just figured it would be in Newport or around there and I don't drive on highways so it would just be easier if he stayed for dinner.

Don't get me wrong. I would love to meet everyone. I am not one for driving so my husband drives me many places. So many people ask me if I drive because either my husband drives me or my children. My son had his drivers permit for 2 years before his licenses so he was very eager to drive any where. My daughter just turned 16 and now she is driving me every where. Do you recommend any certain place we should go for dinner?

Any of these are super, plus Newport on the Lewee has some great places as well. Not sure if you are familar with the area, but you can also get to the place on Saturday taking Dixie Highway instead of the highway. I am game for where ever on Friday (I love to eat! almost anything).

we live literally right across the river lol. Yes Newport on the Levee is great too. Hubby said Montgomery Inn boathouse is down there too, slipped my mind.
I love the German place because I lived in Germany and you can dance on the tables lol.

Eating is my favorite past time but it is my worst nightmare as you know. I have to learn to treat food as something I need to live but I treat it as I live to eat. Anyway, I really am game for anything. Not much I don't like. Dancing on the tables is fun but probably shouldn't do that the first time I meet you girls. Will have to come back out to see you to do that. LOL. Funny thing is I don't really drink but if I do one or two drinks and I am done. I usually have the best time drinking Pepsi and everyone else is drunk so they think I was fun because I was drunk too. Not the case. O.K. I will behave this time.

I actually got engaged while we took a weekend trip to Cincy and went to Newport. It was awesome!
I would love to eat with you girls Friday night, but I don't think I'd be up to driving there that night, then again in the AM, b/c I have a feeling that I'd be up late that night for some reason.....lol
We were going to make something like lasagna, salad, and bread. We really don't think we need any help with dinner. My better half Jackie is being gracious and making it. We will just need the finally count of who is staying for dinner the week before.

We are on our way to filling up this shoebox swap. We have two more people joining us. HEY! The more the merrier. So far this will be 20 card/projects. We will have to work hard.

Been doing a lot of thinking about this Friday night dinner--and I cam eup with Buckhead Mountain Grill. It is down on the Ohio River, and they have a very broad menu--salads, sandwiches, or dinners. I think that it might suit all! What do you think, Jackie--or any other ladies from the area? Jackie, I am certainly willing to help any way that I can with dinner. Just let me know.
I got the registration form up and a info sheet for all of you. (sgc) look it over and see if I forgot anything on there. You can start sending them into me to reserve your spot. We limited it to only 15 people so we have enough time (o.k. there never is enough time) to get all or most of the card/projects done. We should have a great time with some great ideas for projects. Does anyone know what they are doing for their swap? You don't have to tell us.
