Hello everyone- is everyone getting psyched for VSN? I sure am! For this pre-challenge we are going to take a break from cards!
One of the best things about Fall is that the kids go back to school. Back to reading, writing and arithmetic! The last weeks before school starts can be a challenge for the whole family and I look for craft projects we can do together.
I originally found this project on a children's craft magazine and subsequently found it posted on several websites. I like this style of bookmark because it is so easy and fast. If you have "helpers" you can give them their own strip of paper and let them make their own bookmark. If you are really lucky maybe they'll want to go read a book and use their new bookmark!
These bookmarks are so quick and flat how about slipping one into a birthday card as a little surprise? Or as a small "back to school" gift for a teacher? Or what about making these for Halloween treats?
The tutorial for this Easy Origami Bookmark is on my blog here: Easy Origami Bookmark

Uploading Instructions:
*Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. If you are using additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
*It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.
The great thing about these bookmarks is that you can adjust the sizing to fit your scrap of paper/ CS.
I found that out too! The first one I made was to big for a paperback book, but great for me college neices textbooks;) The next was almost to small, this one I finally got the right size for my use. I made them all using scraps!
I love making things that are small and quick. It's a great way to showcase special supplies and use those beautiful pieces of paper I never want to use up. I also think these would make great gifts!

thse are adorable, can't wait till the little one goes to sleep so I can do one with realy supplies, instead of the copy paper at my desk

I am thinking abut making Halloween themed ones for my daughter's class at school. Candy is frowned upon but she adores handing out things to her class. The teacher can't ge upset at something that might make the kids want to read!

They'd also make great gifts for the class because you can make them quickly and they don't use up too many supplies.
