Default Do you leave comments on ...

Do you leave comments on the older cards in the gallery?

I recently had someone leave a comment on a card I posted a few weeks ago. It made me feel good to have someone leave a comment on a card that was no longer in the today's addition.

I realized after this, that just because a card has been in the gallery for a long time there is no reason why I can't leave a comment telling the artist that I enjoyed their work. I know I will start to do this as I case cards for the sets I own. I was wondering if others do this as well.

Karen I do leave comments on "older" cards. When ever I get a new stamp set, I go through that gallery for ideas and I leave comments.

I leave comments on the older cards also. Sometimes you just miss them the first time around. It's never to let to let somebody know you love their work

Yep! I leave messages on ANY card that I like. And I love to get notice that someone else has done the same.

If I look at a card, it could be a year old, I leave a comment. I think it's nice especially since we all love a compliment.

I try to take the time once a week to look at the gallery. I make it a point to begin with the least commented on cards. It always surprises me when I see cards that have been viewed hundreds of times but have only received a few comments. There are some great cards in the gallery! Thanks to everyone for sharing.

Yes I also leave them on any card i like, I do not check the gallery daily or even weekly sometime, I will take time and go through lots of cards at once so I never know when they are from...I think it is good to let the artist know you liked their work no matter how long ago it is from

I like to comment on cards I like no matter how long they've been posted. I sometimes search for a specific set and if I find a card I particularly like I leave a comment.

I like to leave a message just as much as I like to recieve them. It makes everyone feel good about what they were proud of doing. There are so many over looked cards. I think the comments are wonderful. I also love to see cards cased... I think that is one of the biggest compliments.

I can't keep up with all of the new cards posting from day to day, so all of my comments are on older cards...can be anything from posted a week ago to a year or more.

I always leave comments on older or brand new cards. If they catch my eye, they are worth a comment!

I agree I think comments are the best, it always brings a smile to my face when I get one and I try real hard to leave comments on other ladies cards that catch my eye.
Most of my 1800 (oopsy, I was ahead myself) some odd posts are comments on cards in the gallery!

Yes, I do. Sometimes when I get a new set I look at that gallery and save some of the cards that I like as ideas for the set. If I save it, then I comment on it. Even if it is really old.

Always. And I like to make a comment on cards that don't have any comments. If someone took the time to share with us it's worth taking the time to let the artist know what you think.

Ditto! I posted cards for the first time, recently and it was SO nice to get comments on it. It made me feel so good that someone enjoyed my work! I plan on commenting more than I have because I enjoyed receiving comments so much!

Definitely! If I open a card to look at it, I try to leave a comment. It's the nicest thing to get a compliment on a card that you've made. Leaving a comment is a RAK in my book!

As has been said, when I get a new set I go through the gallery looking for ideas. I sometimes feel weird if they are really old, not knowing if that person is even around anymore. If it caught my eye, I leave a comment.

I look at older cards and try to leave comments. For some reason, I haven't had many even look at my attempts to do the drunken chalk technique. I don't know if it is the time of day that I download (usually early in the mornig (aka late at night)) or if no one really likes them.

I love comments and try to check out the cards others do. It is so nice that you all share with us and interesting how each person sees a set differently.

Indeed! By the time I get the SAB or mini sets, demos have been posting for over a month with these sets so when I go in the gallery, I will comment.

I've noticed that too on my cards. I personally haven't gone through the galleries much lately, so no one will see many comments from me. I find going through today's additions and the gallery puts me in creative overload some days. But if I did go through the gallery I would comment on cards that caught my eye...whether they be old or new!

I do, because often when I get a new set in... I go look throught the gallery for that set. If I see something I like, I'll leave a message. I don't necessarily "see" them to begin with, because it doesn't catch my eye.

I like responses, old or new!

DITTO to what Jovi said also..
I will look up a stamp set for ideas and leave comments..I never even look to see how old they really are! I think every card should get comments. After all, we spend time and effort making these cards and it is nice when someone else notices.

my rule of thumb is if I pull up the card, leave a message. No matter how old or not my style.... Everyone likes a compliment.

And I go back through my gallery from time to time and I read EVERY SINGLE POST.... I REALLY like compliments :P

I'm never sure how old a card is when I go to leave a comment. Often when I get a new set I go to its section of the gallery to check out all the samples.

I have a similar question -- how many of you actually say something specific about the samples you like? I'm talking about more than just "beautiful," "cute," or "I love it". Not to sound ungrateful, but I like to know what aspects of the layout are really working and how. Guess that's because I'm a design student, and when we discuss each other's projects during presentations, just saying that you like something is never enough.
