This is my second attempt. I like it much better than the first try. I've never made square cards before. Can't say that I'm sold on them :-) But thanks for the challenge! And TFL.

Hi everyone,
I love making square cards 6 out of 8 of my cards in my gallery are □. Please check it out and let me know what you think! I'm relatively new to posting cards so bear with me in my beginning stages, lol. I'm learning a lot on here, & I can't wait to grow more with this community of creative card & craft makers ;)
Do they cost more to mail? I'm wondering now, has anyone had to pay a higher postage price to mail things with ribbons or embellishments?
Susie
I believe they do cost more to mail since they're an off-size. Most of the time I give them to people I see in person so I don't have the extra postage.
From the U.S. Postal Service Envelope Code:
**First-Class envelopes weighing 1 ounce or less require an additional $0.12 nonmachinable surcharge if any one of the following apply:
It is a square letter
It contains very rigid items such as wood or metal
It has clasps, string, buttons, or similar closure devices ...**
I just uploaded my square cards. I made them for a co-worker and gave her a choice for her parents 56th Choice 1 Choice 2
I also gave her 2 mats in case she wanted to add a pic to the center.
I have a square punch that looks like a postage stamp with the edges jagged, I'd like to see designed for that sort of thing. I only bought it because a lady I know wrapped shimmery thread around it (spirelli?) and I loved the look of 4 on a card. any other ideas???
