I was just looking (again!) at Ribbons and Bows Oh My website...at the grosgrain. There are so many colors!
I know that monitors portray color differently. Has anyone bought some of everything and made a chart that shows which colors match SU papers? I have some colors I wish I had better ribbon colors for. (although I DID notice that red ribbon is going to be called Real Red in the new catty...maybe there is hope for more variety...?!?!?)
My color chart arrived today and here are the ribbon matches to SU cardstock:
Redwood = Cranberry Crisp
Banana or Wheat = Barley Banana
Celedon = Certainly Celery
Millennium Blue = Bashful Blue
Tropic Lilac = Lavender Lace
Lavender = Pale Plum
Capri Blue = Ballet Blue
Light Navy = Night of Navy
Old Rose = Regal Rose
Cranberry = Rose Red
Evergreen = Handsome Hunter
Lemonade = So Saffron
Beet = Bravo Burgundy
Coral = Cameo Coral
Yellow Gold = Summer Sun
Dark Royal = Brilliant Blue
Red = Real Red
Yellow = YoYo Yellow
Hot Pink = Pink Passion
Papaya = Only Orange (matches better then SU Orange)
Dark Orchid = Orchid Opulence
Lime Fizz = Gable Green
Mystic Blue = Tempting Turquoise
Blueberry = SU Navy grosgrain
Taupe = SU Taupe grosgrain
Pink = SU Pink grosgrain
Yellow Gold = SU Maise
***Note*** RABOM Black does not match SU Black grosgrain

Ok, above it says the equal to gable green is lime fizz...are you sure...it looks so minty on the computer? I would have guess neon lime to be gable green's match.
I want to be sure before I place an order! Thanks!
Yup--Lime Fizz is very close to Gable Green. Do you really need Gable Green ribbon? I mean, if you love it, good for you! I just don't love Gable Green, I guess. :-)

Does shipping take long??? Now I can't wait to get my order....although most of 1/4" was sold out (the colors that I wanted) but then I saw the 5/8" and the lollypop....beautiful!!!

I've ordered from them a couple of times & have been very pleased. The shipping is usually within a week unless they're having a sale. The 1/4" grosgrain colors are limited in the smaller quantities but I got the impression they're going to keep adding more. I got a LOT of 3/8" grosgrain on sale after Christmas, along with some 5/8". If you email them, they'll send you samples. I asked for 3 different colors & received them in 3 days!!

If you are interested, I matched another company's grosgrain ribbon to SU colors. Here's that thread, including my list of color matches. HTH! Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I just ordered from them and got my order within a few days, so I was pleased with that. I was not however, happy with some of the colors of ribbon. The lime green was way too neon-y, same goes for the tutti frutti grosgrain. I would suggest before placing a big order to get some samples of the ribbons. Do they sell swatches? I wish I had done that. Now I am stuck with ribbon I will never use! This is the only thing I hate about internet shopping, not being able to see colors accurately.
I have not ordered from them before, so I don't know.... but, can't you return/exchange the rolls of ribbon instead of being stuck with ribbon you can't use?
Do the ribbons from here (RABOM) come on spools or loose?
Placed my order and it has already shipped but now I need to figure out about storage for more ribbon!! I have seen some really great ideas but need to know about the spools!!

They do not allow returns, so be sure you want it before you buy. It is great quality ribbon, so if you can't use it all, you could definitely re-sell.

I have only ordered the 100 yard spools, so I'm not sure how the smaller quanitities are packaged. You might check the FAQ's on their website.

The RABOM Color Match chart that I downloaded from SCS a while back has the following matches for these colors:
Green Galore - Apple Green
Pink Passion - Hot Pink
20% off right now - and I noticed they have some new colors..including one called "River Rock" (of course I was hoping it matched SU!'s River Rock from last year's in=colors) and one called Chocolate Chip.
Has anyone matched the new colors to see how they do with SU colors?
