I didn't vote because more than one applied.

I make them to give/send out - lots! I never seem to have enough made!

I make them to sell - lots of family, friends, co-workers, and friends at church know that I make cards and either ask for a custom made card or ask when I'm going to have a stack they can "shop" through.

I also make gift sets to give- different sizes with interesting packaging. Fun to give!

I recently raised my price per card (sell) and surprisingly no one balked. A couple weeks ago I spent an afternoon making cards and turned around and sold them the next week - made $80. And since I'm trying really hard not to buy any new product (using the stuff I have overflowing in my studio!), all of that goes into my pocket (or savings account!).
I've recently challenged myself to use the supplies I have on hand (stamps, paper, embellishments, etc) and I'm having fun using up older stuff. Funny, those people I sell my creations to don't realize it's not the latest and greatest product - we fool ourselves into thinking we have to have it all, or what's new. Sometimes an updated technique or color combination "perks" up an old stamp set or patterned paper.
Try it! It's fun!

sell, sell, sell! Gotta support the habit somehow! Love giving them as well. Usually when I do up a design, I make a dozen. It's great to have a bunch of designs going then pick a couple from each one and box them up for gifts and such. Love this craft!
