Oh! Was stressing that I didn't have a Spectrum Pad (getting one tomorrow) but now that I've seen the AMAZING samples that don't use a spectrum pad, I am ready to go!
Here is my card. I don't have a spectrum pad so I just made due without one. Not too keen on these colors but maybe I'll try a different color combo tonight.

I don't have a spectrum pad. Would the rock and roll technique work instead?

Okay . . . HELP!! What am I doing wrong?? This was my third attempt at this fun-looking technique, but I still didn't get it right. I sprayed the paper before, during AND after stamping (and every combo in between), and STILL couldn't get an image that looked very "water-color-y". Suggestions?? At least I got a card done (hooray for me!!).

It's the day after graduation and we are onto making thank yous. Tried the challenge on the first card of the morning. It turned out great even if I was a little challege without a sprectrum pad, so I inked the stamp with 3 pads and went from there.
I rarely use my spectrum pads, so I am excited to give this technique a try. I think most of my pads are old and retired, but I will give it a whirl!!!! Everyone has done such a great job!

I really am serious . . . does anyone have any suggestions for me? I love the very water-y looking images, but mine don't do that . . . maybe if I sprayed the stamp after I inked it? Before I inked it? At all??? HELP!!

Wendy,
I had the same problem. I switched to natural card stock; I used confetti white or maybe it was just natural white; then busted out the spectrum pad. I was trying to use regular vanilla paper and regular SU pads before and it just wasn't working.
This lastest one has worked, but now I dont have time to finish it. I'm off to the airport to pick up family.
Hope that helps.
Also earlier someone posted that they used Shimmery white.

Thanks for the tips. Maybe I'll even try watercolor paper! Something has got to work!!
I am trying to get the kids to finish the last of their school projects this morning so that I can have the afternoon to stamp. I can't wait to try this technique, but it will have to wait! :(
