I would like a Mother's Day where I don't have to clean anything or cook anything or do laundry. Oh, and a day where DS#1 isn't demanding and confrontational (he's 13 1/2 and a giant pain in the a**.)

We are having my MIL and my SIL and their spouses for breakfast, which my DH will cook (with a bit of help from me!).

I did go to the cemetary today and put flowers on my Mom's grave. I guess what I'd really love for Mother's Day is a day with my mother again.

I would love for my daughter and husband to leave at dawn tomorrow and them come home when the sun is down.

But really, all I want is to be noticed tomorrow and I don't think that is going to happen.

Well, I always ask him for stamping stuff for holidays. He hates buying me stamping stuff, eventhough he knows it's what I want. Well, this Mother's Day was different. He gave my $110 to spend on Bellas.....and he took me to the mall this morning and bought me some Godiva Truffles. I LOVE Godiva Truffles!

I got to spend today holding my little sister's brand new baby girl! What a blessing! She's only 2 days old. It made me feel very happy to be a mother. In my book, every woman is a mother! If you don't have your own kids, you find ways to mother other kids or even adults!

I have 6 kids, and I used to hate Mother's Day because I had such high expectations. A few years ago, I decided that I was just setting myself up to be angry, so (as in all of life), I just lowered my expectations. Now I'm happy! :-)

I am putting cash toward my first new catalog order. Or maybe some more PaperTrey stamps. Happy Mother's Day to me!

I told DH I wanted a mature dogwood tree for my garden.

This morning he comes to me and says why don't you go to the garden store and buy the tree you want. Am I wrong for feeling let down that I'm sent out to look for and buy my own Mother's Day gift?

Wow! I won't get that kind of "me" time for at least 14 years!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

All I want is a happy, healthy family. Of course a new camera, bosch, or Ipod would be nice but it's not going to happen! At least not this year.

Thumbs up

I went to The Mall of America with my DD's Girl Scout troop and spent the night with the sharks .....then went to Build a Bear and got exactly what I wanted...I'm such a kid!!

(Now, before you say.."big deal"...this was a 6 hour trip one way for "we girls" and it was a blast!)

Oh anyway... he BAKED ME A PEANUT BUTTER CHEESECAKE for Mother's Day, did my grocery shopping, bought rib-eyes to BBQ tomorrow and I have a feeling he STAMPED! (my table was NOT how I left it lol)

Tomorrow, I'm sleeping in too while he makes breakfast ;)

Today we celebrated Mother's Day early. Time with my DS is my idea of a perfect day. We went to brunch and then took an hour and half walk on the beach. I loooved this alone time with him. Tomorrow I have a 5 hour drive to help a friend that is sick with cancer, so today was so calming. I am lucky.

I want....I guess I really already got what I wanted. My family went to the Oakland Zoo and had a tour of the elephant barn area, we went out to dinner and the Cold Stone. Somewhere along the way I also gat a hummingbird feeder. My birthday is two weeks away so I'm hoping to cashi in on that one:twisted: I think I'm going to ask for the Cuttlebug. I saw the price of the machine itself but can anyone give me an idea of the prices of the dies and embossing folders? Also are the embossing folders big enough to make card size pieces in one pass?

HAPPY MIOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL WARM LADIES!

I wanted a whole bunch of things, any one of which would have made me very happy:

An iPod, an Ott light, a stamping table, a digital camera (this one would have mucho dinero).

I got a 30 GB iPod, which was top on my list of wants! I wanted a 4GB iPod, and usually DH won't get me techie stuff without taking me with him. But I woke up and found a bag on the counter with my name on it! He gets all kinds of points for this one!

Happy Mother's Day!

Michelle

Yikes, forgot the word "been" before mucho dinero. The digital camera I want is a lot of money, it doesn't have a lot of money. Can't type at 1 am.

I want a small digital camera. When dd was born my husband went out and bought the best digital camera he could find. Unfortunately it's HUGE. I want something I can carry in my purse. But we can't afford that right now. :(

I think I'm getting a book, but I have no clue what book I would get. My guess is a result of this whispered conversation between my 3 year old and my husband after they came home from shopping together:

dd: I want to read my new book.
dh: *whispering* It's not your book, honey.

The conversation went on from there, but I think I'm getting a book. ;)

haha. I do know they went to the grocery store and picked out what they're cooking for me for breakfast.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY LADIES!

My DH asked me today and after a year of hinting and no results; I handed him a 40% add from Joann's and told him a Cuttlebug. Do you think he will get the hint???;) LOL

No gifts for me as I just had my birthday and got a digital camera (so happy to be in the 21st century with you all!). I told my husband I wanted three things:
for the kids not to fight
for the kids not to bug me for every little thing (they can ask their dad or
eachother once in a while!)
not to cook all day

One of my kids was sick in the night so when I got up to get ready for Sunday School and do some laundry, I had to clean a really nasty bathroom, too. Happy Mother's Day to me!

Hi!
Happy Mother's Day!!!

My gift is my family.

Besides stamping I do a lot of cross stitch and over the past 3 months DH helped me shop for the supplies needed for this really large project. This will count as a Mother's Day and Birthday gift. Yesterday afternoon while I was grocery shopping and picking up things for my Mom DH and the kids went a chocolate run. They also made cards, I know because DH called and asked where some of the supplies were. LOL!!!

My parents gave us a 5 month old Schipperkee puppy so it's been a busy couple of days.

Yesterday morning our church offered a Mother's day brunch. DH was one of the servers, DD and I went to the breakfast and my Mother came too. She's not much on church stuff so this was a great treat.

I am grateful for a DH, like all husbands he's wonderful and drives me crazy and since I do the same to him I can't complain. Right now he is sick with a flu so we had to cancel our plans for today. I'm thankful for our 3 kids (19, 16 and 9). We have two boys and our youngest is a girl. I have a place for my stamping stuff, more stuff than I can ever use up. All our critters (2 dogs, 3 cats, 6 birds and 3 fish). Our house and yard are just about how we have planned. A family that gets along reasonably well and friends.

Today I will get time to craft and to spend at home with the family. Not a bad way to spend the day.

Wishing everyone a great day and a chance to make it as great as possible.

I have to say that I have the best kids in the world. I am divorced, so its just the kids and I. Last night my older girls made me a spice cake one of my favs and made dinner for me. My awesome 16 year old son made me an extention for my stamping desk and helped put up shelves and organize all of my stuff plus he is making a scrapbook page for me. they all made me some clay things that they painted and or stamped for me...plus they hauled more dirt(compost) than I have seen in a long time for my gardens. are cleaning the house for me today and helping me spread the dirt around the gardens plus I get to stamp all afternoon.

I am so proud of my kids they are soooo awesome and I love that we are all so close in our relationship and that they have amazing morals and values and really stick by them even with peer presure.

I feel very blessed!!

Hey I got a grill for Mother's Day! Love it. Never thought of trying to give hubby stamps (hehe).

My Mother's day has been stolen by my 10 yo DS, it is his b-day. Wouldn't mind sharing so much if he hadn't been 13 days late, born two days after Mother's Day.:-D
