hehe. I would be too if it were my house being built, heck I would probably ask if I could help them ehhe.
THAT'S EXACTLY what I did. I hit the first nail in the frame, helped hang the front door..etc. I also showed up with breakfast burritos in the morning though...

I have started offering the Technique classes at my house about once a month. I charge $10 for the class and give free shipping if they order. I am not in SU! to make alot of money, just to support my habit and keep current. I always do really great with that. All of that to say, it might be a little less threatnening to invite people to an open house. Then they can see what it is all about.

I am hoping to start doing that down the line too. I think people feel less like they have to buy things if they pay a fee, plus it helps with the supplies. My friend may do a stamp camp for me and I will charge $15.00 to do some things. She said that she is more likely to go to one of those than the free ones.

I just couldn't figure that out...paper, inks...etc. Just couldn't figure out the "price"...
yeah, someday the majority will rule at my house and I will just have to stay away or take allergy medicine.
I would love to be brave enough to try the shots. Once we stop traveling, then I want a dog. I've had alot of cats, dogs, horses. Cats are special. Dogs are really neat too though. I see these yellow labs and I want to just steal one...I have to do something...someday. When we stop vacationing!

The only technique I know right now is how to flip through the catalog...lol...I need to practice myself!

I don't think I will be brave enough to take shots ever. It would be great to have horses again someday though.

hehe yeah I have been there too. When I quit SU last year, my new upline told me about SCS. I did every challenge a few months straight and it has helped me be more confindent. I still look at the Dirty Dozen with an eye of jealousy, but at least I can not be intimidated when I have all my supplies out.
Sheri, do you worry about your ink pads getting all...um messed up?
hehe no cause they already are all messed up! it isn't a big deal, they are pretty cheap and most of the time they may not look nice but are still functional.

Horses are the worst for me. Well, I can pass them on the street...last horse show we went to...walking in the barns...couldn't breathe at ALL then got a nose bleed. I'm so sad...when I think about MY horse...he was just my best friend...and that bond is like no other animal bond...and I just can't believe I can't have one. I would pay big money, every month for the rest of my life to never have an allergy again. Sigh...yes I'm afraid of needles too! But I hope I can have some wine, get the shot and start getting better! LOL

I now own half classic, half craft. Not sure which I like more. Craft stamp better but good grief...the drying time!

Oh I have the supplies...and lots of them. I just mostly sit there and stare. Of course that's fun for me too. I have several stamps to mount too right now. I should be doing that while chatting!

i know what you mean, I think it is the hay dust that makes it bad for me too. I felt the same way about my horse too, he was my best friend. I am not afraid of needles, after two times of being pregnant it would be pointless, but I don't like the idea of injecting my body of something that causes side effects. KWIM?
The heat tool can be your best friend! ;)
I usually just let stuff dry in it's own time, but when you're in a rush...
Even if I'm not using embossing powder? I will give that a try. I haven't even hooked up my dryer since I've been in the new place. I have a whole stamp room! Will have to practice...
Yes I am. I can read, but I cannot reproduce. LOL. Just a handicap I guess...
The technique classes I do are from the scs demo area. it is all typed up and every thing. But you have to be able to read and follow the directions. hehehe
