This is the first time I have ever tried the frayed ribbon and I love the effect you get w/it! Thanks Beth and Chris for posting this one. I have really missed doing the challenges. I have been out of town and when I returned, I was so busy that I could not do them. It is nice to be back again! Here is my card:
well.....finally got yesterday's card reloaded....now I'll put my frayed nerves to good use by fraying some ribbon............lol...........thanks Beth....cool technique.........
Oh my goodness!! This was so much fun!! I made this shaker card this morning for a friend. I thought it would be so cute with a frayed grosgrain bow!! I love how it turned out! TFL!! Hugs! Ashley
Okay this was fun!! I did a couple of cards.. one using the threads pulled from the ribbon. That card is here: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
The other is using the leftover bit with the little short threads. I sorta thought it looked like grass. That card is here: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I tried this technique on one of the jumbo clips that I made today, but also included a couple of other clips I have been working on. I was laughing at how funny and fun this was to do. Not sure if it is right for my flower clip, but just had to try it. As always thank you so much for looking. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I usually only have time to do one card for a challenge. I just could not get this out of my head for this technique and could not get anything done until I finished it. Now I have to hurry and get back to my chores! Hope you get a good laugh!
This reminds me of a bad joke. May I share?
This piece of ribbon walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve ribbon here".
So, the piece of ribbon goes outside, freys it's ends, ties itself in a knot and goes back inside the bar. She tries to order another drink and the bartender says, "Hey, aren't you that piece of ribbon I just kicked out of here?" and the ribbon replies "I'm afraid not!" (Get it? A freyed knot?)
I'd better go try this technique before you all kick me off SCS!

This is a great technique Beth & Chris...can't wait to get home and play...the possibilities are endless and I ALWAYS love to find new ways to embellish cards. This one ROCKS!
well...here it is...............I am fiber challenged and will probably not do this often, but I am glad to have tried it and I'm sure I will again when I feel it is worth the effort and time..............
