Making a Mini Jacob's Ladder Album

Hi everyone,
I'm wanting to make a jacob's ladder mini album. It's based on the idea of the child's toy. Does anyone have instructions? I've been on the web but I can't seem to find anything.

I have that CK video tutorial bookmarked. On my "project idea list" is to make one with those square, chipboard coasters...sandwiching the ribbon in between the coasters. The CK one uses thin, but strong wood blocks.
