Oh my word -- was this fun!!! I'd love to do more, but no time today -- but I will definitely be doing more of this faux wood -- such a wonderful look -- thanks so much for putting it on and for the great tutorial, Beth and Dawn!!!! Here's my Christmas card:
Here's my last one entitled, Tree In The Window. Phew, the site is s-l-o-w today. I almost fell asleep loading this.

OK, I started out with a completely different idea...I was going to do a door with a wreath, but alas, it just wouldn't work out...so here is what I came up with instead...similar concept, but different
I did the DTP technique and then stamped over it with the Weathered Wood bg stamp...
Thanks for the push, I've been wanting to try this forever!
I can't wait to play after T-giving. I am even getting my dry brush on my next order.......whoohoo.........Happy Thanksgiving to all you awesome girls. Nancy
I have been wanting to try this technique for so long. Thanks for the challenge Beth! I really need the dry brush wheel for sure now. DH's toothbrush worked fine, great suggestion. Here's my first attempt: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I finally got to participate in a challenge again. I was brooding quite a while this morning on how to use that Faux Wood on a card. I love the look of flowers stamped in front of it with craft ink.

Here is mine for the faux wood challenge. I should have made the one on the left a little different color so it would show up better on the wood. I like this challenge.Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I don't have a card made with the faux wood technique, but I do have a card made by stamping on real wood veneer.
I had a guest at a workshop who wanted to know if you could stamp on wood so I decided I should try it out. Lo and behold it worked!
