Default Delight?

Just out of curiosity.............on the SAB set, Paint Prints, delight is the word they have included. I am having the dickens of a time trying to figure out for what occasion I would use this stamp. In scrapping, which I don't do, I could see it on any number of pages.....but with card making??
Please help me here, my cold must be interfering with my creative process!

TIA,
Valerie

I also think the same thing. I don't know of any occasion I'd use this for either. I don't even think I'll use it on a scrapbook page. Call me weird, but I tend to stay away from anything "cheesy" and "overly sentimental" on my SB pages... The only thing I think I'd use it for is maybe an SB page featuring kids eating ice cream or candy... and I don't have kids.

Hmmmm...

Have you checked out the SAB 2005 gallery? There are lots of cute cards made with the Paint Prints set that use the "delight" word on them. It's the same as using words like "cherish"--happy words that convey good wishes or feelings to friends/family. The paint prints is one of my favorites of the new SAB sets.

I have checked out the gallery, and I believe I have most of them in my favorites, as this is my favorite of all the SAB sets. Like, Michelle, a couple of posts above, I just don't see using the delight all that much. Although, I could see it for baby cards........which I don't do alot because most everyone I know is done with that phase and are into the preteen/teen years. And delight is not the word I would use to describe this time period! LOL

I look at it as a backround word, not the focal point...

I see it for anytime someone has received good news...a great new job, a new house, a 'clean' bill of health for someone who has been struggling Just a cool 'thinking' of you kind of thing. I could see it to give it to someone you haven't seen for awhile and are really happy to see them again.

I would also see delight could be for a person's birthday...well...many of them at least!

I agree---anyone who's had something good happen to them. Like, getting engaged, married, pregnant, baby shower, birth, anniversary, adoption...those are the ones that I think of right away. Good luck!

To clarify,

Maybe I can use the "delight" stamp to make scrapbook page with my cats chowing down on catfood.

I may not have kids... but the above would work!

It almost sounds like most of you use that word to describe some kind of food. LOL. I keep thinking of a song that they used to sing at my church. It was called "I delight in you" So yeah, I see using it for something that has happened that is good like others said, marriage, birth, engagement. But friendship stands out most.

The word "delight" is such a great word. When do you feel this? Some could say on birthdays(most kids feel this way). I could see using it for a friend card, birth, engagement, wedding, thank you. Heck, I could see sending a card like this to my customers. I always feel "delight" when they call me to book a party, place an order, etc.
