I promise I searched...I came up with 12 pages of threads but none with directions...
I'm talking about those bows at the tops of invitations (usually with organdy ribbon) where there are two holes punched (I assume) and the two tails stick out on the ends but there are no loops, it's all pretty flat.... Help?!?!
Thanks!

Punch two holes where you want them. Take a length of ribbon insert each end into the holes from the front to the back. Cross the ribbon and insert into holes from back to front.
Hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
If this is what you are thinking about, here is how I do it--
Punch two holes (circle or rectangle, doesn't matter which) where you want the middle of the bow to be. Holding the front of the card facing you, poke your ribbon thru the holes so the tails are hanging out of the back end of the card. Take the left tail and poke the end of it thru the right hole, and vice versa. Trim off the ends and voila! Clear as mud?
I love these bows! I make them all the time. I totally agree with the previous poster who said to get the SU double rectangle punch for these. Did you know that you can make a bow with loops the same way? Here's one without loops:
The only thing you do differently when making loops: after putting the two ends through from front to back, fold one of the ends in half and put the folded part back through the opposite hole, then repeat with the other end. Fiddle with the loops to get them the size you want. If you then want the ends on the front as well as the loops (as shown in the second example above), cross them over on the back and insert through the opposite holes again. The holes get pretty full when you do this, but you can make it work - just push the ribbon from the previous steps off to one side as you stick the ribbon through.
U'm so glad you posted a picture as I wasn't quite sure about the description. After seeing it, I love it and will be giving this a try real soon... Thanks!!!
I love this site - just when I am stumped I put in a "search" and viola so many good folks helping one another with the very "bow" that had me stumped! Thanks to all of the above folks who so graciously spend time answering our questions!
