How much would you charge for this?
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This cost me about $2.50 to make. I have an opportunity to make a few for a friend's business, maybe 5-10. I was thinking $4.00. Any opinions???

no way, I say nothing less than $5.00! It's a memo book and a pen for goodness sake! Too cute!

I'd say $5 too, for sure! But remember, it can't be sold in a permanent retail location!

rule of thumb for selling is double your price to make it and make sure to include the time you spent making it.

I agree with Shell - my rule of thumb is 2-3X's your cost - depending on cost and time factor...
If it takes you $2.50 to make it - I would price it somewhere between $5 - 7.50 - if it is someone who might contract with you to make more gifts in the future I would go with a lower price over a higher price...

That was what I was thinking. They are worth more for your time, but NO ONE ever pays you what they are worth (good thing we enjoy doing it!) and at craft shows you hear "I could do that" all too often.
Thay are very nice, go for at least $6

Oh, well, if she's not going to resell them... I think I'd probably say $7 each. Think about how much you pay for generic, black notebooks. Think about how much more awesome these are!!

I agree with what's been posted - 2 to 3 times your cost to make it.
It's adorable by the way! : )

Thank you so much for y'all's (yes, to southerners it is a word!) advice. I think I will go with $5 since this is my "come in the back door neighbor."
