Well I hope that got some attention. It is actually about boobs.
I want to make a card for my sister in law, she went into have surgery today, and I need some ideas for a get well card. She is have a breast reduction, and I was thinking maybe something along the lines of Perking up soon, but I need help. Any suggestions, you guys are always so great with ideas.
Thanks in advance,
Amy

**this is my first attempt posting a link, so if I didn't do it right, the title of the card was "Breast Wishes" and I just typed that into the search engine to find it!

How about just a nice Get Better Soon or Feel Better Soon card? I don't know you or your SIL but if she is getting a breast reduction, maybe focusing on her breasts isn't what she may want right now? If she is in good spirits and you think she would appreciate the humor, go with what Palapala suggested. That's hilarious! ;)

Oh, that is CUTE and funny! I love that!

What about doing something with monogram letters...maybe on one side of the card have a Triple DDD and then on the other a Double AA with a sentiment inside (congratulations on your sudden decline!) Don't know if you know her actual size is now and what she is going to end up at but you could really customize the card to fit her situation.
I got an email at Mardi Gras time of 3 women with Budweiser frogs painted on their chests ( that's all they had on) Their boobs were the eyeballs. We sent it to a friend having surgery for cancer and told her to forward it to the surgeon with the one she wanted for her reconstruction surgery marked. I know it gave her a laugh and I think your SIL will like the perky line.
Do you have the little mermaid stamp set? Outside of card: "Why do mermaids wear seashells?" Inside: "Because D-shells are too big and B-shells are too small."
If your SIL is anything like me or the other women who've had reductions, her surgery will be one of the best things she's ever done for herself. And she probably won't want to talk about anything but her wonderful new breasts for months to come. No need to shy away from boob jokes and fun little puns.
Also, mark the date in your birthday calendar so you can send her a "Happy Boobday" card in a year.

LOL!!! You should warn people to not be drinking anything when they open that card! I just about spit out my soda when I saw that card!! Perfect, and no special stamps are needed!:p

This is the card that I made for my sis-in-law when she had her surgery. She was VERY happy to go down a few sizes, and I know her sense of humor! She REALLY enjoyed the card! (Pardon that it's kinda crude in both humor, design, execution.....it was 5 years ago before I was a more experienced card maker!) You're looking at the front and the inside in this image.
I just thought of another but it'll only work if she's going to a C, like that hilarious card above this post!!! I C you've had some work done! Or Just A Note on the ouside and To stay abreast of your recovery on the inside......I know, lame!

I'm glad I was done with my milk when I read this one!!!!!!
Thank you for this thread! My friend will be having a mastectomy soon and will have the reconstruction done right away. She was excited that they will "tighten up", as she put it, her other breast so they will match. We were joking about removable ones so she could have Bs for exercising, Cs for everyday, and Ds for when the kids are out of the house.;)
I've been trying to make some cards up ahead of time so I can drop one off every few days and I was out of ideas. All I could think of was normal ones and I wanted funny. Thank you all for posting all the funnies!!!!

I've only known one person who had a breast reduction surgery, and I remember that she was constantly getting excited about the things she could do now that she could never do before (i.e. see her feet! Jump up and down!) Maybe you could use something along those lines..."Jump for Joy! Hey! You can jump now!"
