Maybe it is a midwest thing......I've never heard that in the PNW! How can a stamp be a stamper. The word in itself denotes action which the pool ol' stamp can't do by itself. Stamp is my vote! We need to set these people right! My 2 cents.

Just to throw in one more definition, my dog (who is loved like a child) is named "Stamper".

A stamp is a stamp, a person who uses stamps is a "stamper", and crazy stamp people may name their beloved pet "Stamper" as well.
