Alright, so I am not going out west anymore because we got in a pretty bad car accident and can't haul us and all of our re-enactment gear out to Manitoba. So therefore, none of the lovely stamping/scrapping stores that you ladies told me about will be visited! :(:(:(
Anyone know of any good places in Pennsylvania around the Pittsburgh area? I'm going to Cooper's Lake for Pennsic War Week and I can GUARANTEE that I will get bored bellydancing, shooting my bow, and wreaking general havoc on the land...so any stamp stores and stuff I can converge on?
How could you get bored bellydancing? I'm very sorry to hear you were in an accident; that's the loudest sound in the world imho. Glad though that you were not so injured that you can't bellydance!
You were going to be coming to Manitoba? That's cool ... I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I am happy to hear that you are alright! I was in a bad accident YEARS ago ... hopefully never again.
Holy cow....I just re-read my post....I meant to say any STAMPING or SCRAPBOOK stores in PA near Pittsburgh, lol!!! Stupid no edit button!
Thanks for all the well wishes though. Yes, we're fine and picking up the car tonight....and bellydancing can get boring, specially after you do it for 5 days straight....but I love it anyway! not as much as my stamps tho!
Sorry, but Hershey is on the opposite side of PA LOL
I am jealous you get to go to Pennsic, heck, I'm not even gonna make it to a Renn Faire this year :( (or last year, or the year before WAHHHH it's been like 5 years!)
You will not be to far from me. Go to the Scrapbook store in Butler, it is not to far from where you will be. It is wonderful!! I can get you directions if you want, or I can get you the phone number. Roni
It is the Scrapbook Super Station 168 Point plaza Butler, Pa. 16001
phone # 724-287-4311 they have a web site also www.scrapbookstation.com
Love the place, loaded with all the new items. It is very easy to get to from Coopers Lake. I think probably about 20 minutes from there.

OMG!!!
The Pennsic War?!?!? At Cooper's Lake???
No way!
My family used to go every year when I was a child - my Dad's best friend was the leader of the barbarian clan the TuChuks (not sure of the spelling LOL) and we attended SCA events all over the place.....
I even made my first TV debut on a news show about the War - all dressed up in my faux fur and moccasins - LOL LOL
Oh no Miss Ireland....we're both fine. We were scared about to death, but fine.
War runs from August 4-14th this year. If you go....or anyone for that matter...I will be the bellydancer camped in the Eforwick camp on the hill near the lake....hehe. Tribal bellydancer....and I'll prolly be stamping. :P
There's a great stamping store called Stamp Fanci near Sewickley PA (just outside of Pittsburgh). The store is about 20 minutes from the Pittsburgh airport. I just moved from Pittsburgh to Houston and I miss that store so much. Believe it or not I have not found a store here that comes close in comparison to Stamp Fanci. They have a huge selection of A Muse stamps. Also if you go there on the 25th of the month everything is 25% off in the store (excluding a few things). Search the web for her store and it will give you directions and the phone number to her place. The owner is super nice as well.
I live an hour from the Butler scrapbook store and a little over an hour from Stamp Fanci; they are both wonderful stores. I do not think you will be disappointed at all. When I visit either store, I can spend at least 2 hours looking around. The scrapbook store is almost overwhelming and Stamp Fanci always has the latest in stamping and the owner will help you with anything. They both have websites. PM me if you want further information.
