I finally was able to stamp!! Yeah!!! I got these great images today from Christine (thecardpixie) through the new Image RAK group. If you haven't seen it, check it out under the RAK forum.
What a neat challenge. I am going to have to look at the challenges on a weekly basis. This is my first attempt at a challenge and I did it. I have it posted in my gallery if you care to see it.
Julia, Thank you for this wonderful challenge! I have really enjoyed going through everyone's cards in the gallery and comparing them to the catalog samples. There were lots of great ideas in the catty that I missed, but other people noticed them and showcased them with this challenge. So much fun! Thank you!!!
I was inspired by the color combo on page 45 and the reflection of the snowmen on page 50. I changed it up by using a transparency and flipping it instead of rolling the wheel. After stamping the reflection, I sponged blue on the transparency for the water. If I did it again, I'd use vellum instead of a transparency sheet to soften the color of the reflection.
Great idea Julia. My DD cased a card on pg 168 for WT68. Jeani chose her own colors and used Bud Basics as her main image. We both loved the results. It really inspired Jeani, who scrapbooks, but is new to SU and card stamping. Enjoy our fun stamping time. Please comment if you have time on Jeani's really simple, but beautiful card. Thanks........Nancy
finally got a chance to do this challenge. I looked at the new catty so many times and there were several to chose from, but I kept coming back to this one. Even though I didn't have the right stamps or even the right colors of cardstock, I really liked the way that this came out. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I finally got home and caught up on challenges! I liked the way they popped All I have Seen (pg. 116) and also the way they used the small horizonal slit to pop more color on the card (pg.6. I combined LSC71 with this challenge (ribbon).
My DD really inspired me to take the WT68 challenge.....here are 2 quick and fun cards. Such a busy time of year that quick is good. Thanks Julia for such a good idea. It is my 1st time to completely CASE from a Caddy. BTW, the 2nd card is not as bright IRL. I do like them both.
This was a blast! What do you do when you love, love, love the look of the rough edges wheel on the front cover and inside back cover but you don't have it yet??? Ahhh, be creative!!!! I dug around and found some of that rubbery shelf liner... EUREKA! I think it came our pretty close!
This was fun! The color and the image didn't scan too well. Looks better IRL. Don't they all! I combined this challenge and the LSC71 (ribbon).
Okay, this is well over a week late...but I just got the images that I needed today! Thanks to Jolene!
I did this card from memory of the example in the catalog on page 141. Not bad for my memory, but certainly not perfect. I think this is going to be a really fun set for me to use. And I can always borrow Gremhog's Fishy Friends set and wheel and have a HUGE WHALE of a time with these aquatic animals.
