I use my brayer with the rubber attachment to stamp with background stamps. I ink up the stamp then lay it with the rubber facing up. I then put my cardstock down and cover with a piece of scratch paper. I then brayer over the whole thing. It gives even coverage.
I also use the rubber attachment when using a kaleidescope stamp. I just run the brayer directly through the kaleid-pad and then onto the paper.
