I just wondered if anyone took advantage of the anniversary sale and if so how long it's taking to get your order. I ordered mine last Tues. I know it will take longer because of the sale.
I received an e-mail about the sale, and they told me to be very patient, because it was like doing a special order for each customer and they expected a lot of orders due to the sale. I'm thinking like 5 weeks, but who knows? Maybe they'll surprise me!! They also asked not to get any angry e-mails because they didn't want to get their feelings hurt.........hey, at least they have a sense of humor about it!
I did - I needed (of course I needed) to order a couple of M&M stamps, a couple of Coke bottle stamps and the Imperial Palace logo - that is where we always stay (in the 'hood) and it is being imploded next year... :( I think last time I ordered (during there Superbowl sale) I got the stamps in about 4-5 weeks...
I ordered on June 23 and don't expect to get my order any time soon. I got some EZ mount, some race horse stamps, bang head here, some car stamps, and the butterflies background.
I put the anniversary sale code in my comments section of the order, but so far have not received an email confirming my new price, or one indicating what the shipping charges will be. I don't want to hassle them about this info if I don't have to; is everyone else in the same boat?
I have yet to order during their sale so I can't tell you how long it took to receive my stuff but YIKES, 5 weeks is a long time to wait for an item! I sell personalized party products and our turnaround time is less than 2 days from the time the order is placed until it heads out our door! I'd lose all my customers if turnaround time was 5 weeks :(
I still haven't gotten my e-mail yet - I selected paypal to pay them so they send me an invoice rather than just charge my credit card. As far as getting a response to an e-mail, I am not sure if you would get one very quickly right now as they are super busy (I went to the store when I was in Vegas and it is pretty cool!) They do have a disclaimer that if you order on the sale your stamps are kind of a second priority behind those that pay full price - so if you want your stamps pronto then just pay full price. I am totally willing to wait 5 weeks for 40% off - I am in Canada anyways and sometimes it takes that long to get stuff I paid full price for!
a footprint
"fantasizing about the mailman" one
a Route 66 sign
The Las Vegas Sign
Starbucks logo
puzzle background
bubble background
a few sheets of the cushion mount with the static stuff
I haven't heard anything from them since the original order so I guess I'll just keep checking and check my credit card statements for the price.
Yup, before I placed my order I read the part on the VLVS website about how the sale orders would be handled as time permitted, but their page also mentioned they can charge your CC weeks before they ship the order off, as soon as they enter your order in the system. I wasn't sure if this meant they would be sending me the corrected invoice as soon as the CC was charged, or waht. It would be nice to know how much I get on shipping without having to stalk my CC every day. Sounds like that is waht I will have to do to find out though.
BTW, I took a peek through the sports section of their website and wowzers they have a lot of cool things! Lots of great masculine images and such. If their online catalogue wasn't so clunky to browse I might have swapped out some of my cars for some skiiers and surfers.
They are VERY reasonable with shipping - and for us Canadians they wrap the stamps like presents so we don't pay duty - but don't tell the boarder guards!! I think I paid $2.00 to get my Las Vegas sign stamp here, and I think no more than about $3.50 for two HUGE stamps (the Mounties on the horses) stamps during their last sale. The lady that runs with her husband (I think) it is a Canadian and feels sorry for us paying duty!

:( Isn't that illegal? Doesn't seem right IMO. If she "feels sorry" why not fight the battle to change the law?

We won't pay duty on rubber stamps made in NA, just the customs/brokerage fees from Canada Post and GST from our everlovin federal govt if the parcel value exceeds the allowable amount.

If those are her feelings and she is wrapping them for specific people (as opposed to having a warehouse full of giftwrapped items) then isn't she sending them as a gift? When do products cease being products and become gifts? Maybe the Catholics have a rule about this one.... ;)
Oh - that is what I meant - the GST - and the wonderful $5.00 charge Canada Post sticks on - although I must say that both packages that came to me they didn't even open as the dollar value of the stamps was less than $30 - which is usually their cut-off. She doesn't lie on the customs form - she checks 'other' - which is correct, but if they do open it they see my gift wrapped stamps - which in my opinion are a gift anyways! Wrap away!

When do they cease being products and become gifts? When someone is sending it to someone else and not being paid for the item in the box. Amazes me how people feel its right to break laws instead of trying to change them.
can anyone send along the sale details- is the sale over or when does it end? 40% off all stamps or what? If there are details on their site that you can point me to, go ahead.
Thanks in advance!
Sorry, the sale ended on the 24th. If you subscribe to their mailing list, it sounds like they have this kind of sale a few times a year so the mailing list will keep you up to date on that.
Oh, and it's 40% off of everything except for their bargain basement stuff which has already been marked down. I got some EZ mount and a bunch of stamps, all at a discount.
I rec'd an email from Stampo/VLVS saying they'd sent out my items on July 12, but so far no dice. How will I know where to bang my head until I have my stamps??
I got my stamps today! I didnt' get other items they ordered, but they haven't had a chance to respond to my query about that yet. But now I can clearly label where to bang one's head!!!!
