Introduction
Hello everyone!
My name is Melissa Mills, and I live in Kansas, although I am originally from California. I miss it, but not enough to move back. Way to expensive right now.
I am very happily married to my best friend from high school, Jason. We have 5 children. The oldest is 13, the youngest is just 1 1/2. Currently Jason is working in Afghanistan. It is tough being apart, but we manage. We will be together again in December, for about 12 days. Then he returns to work. : (
I joined SU! in 2001, then went out earlier this year, to change my upline. I re-joined in August, and am getting off to a slow start, but that's ok. I have a hard time doing lots of things out of the house, as there is noone to watch the kids in the evenings. So far, I meet my minimums with 1 ws, and then just buy what I want to play with.
I love everything I have seen here so far. You ladies are one talented group! I am so inspired. I hope to be sharing with everyone soon.

Hi Melissa!! Are you stationed at Ft. Riley? Where in California are you from? I'm a native Californian too, but my husband is stationed at Ft. Carson. I'm excited for you about your husband coming home! It will be surreal, I'm sure. Been there  Welcome to SCS! Have fun! |

No, we aren't stationed at Fort Riley. My DH is a civilian working in Afghanistan. He was in the Marine Corps when we got married, but got out in 1992. I think he would like to rejoin, but he's doing what he can as a civilian.
We are in Mulvane, just south of Wichita, KS. Originally, Oceanside CA. Graduated from Oceanside High in 1988. Wow, that was forever ago, or so it seems.

Welcome!! You might try posting a "hey - is anyone here in Mulvane Kansas?" topic in the everyday chit chat forum. Who knows - you might just find out someone a couple blocks away is a member too.

Welcome, Melissa!
I hope you get your business up and running soon. It's great that you only really need one workshop to take care of the minimums. That's one of the great things about SU! There aren't any outrageous minimums to deal with.
How long is your dh over there? I know you will be glad to have him home for a while! I hope you enjoy it to the fullest!!!
