Hi all!! I'm new here as of today and thought I would introduce myself. I live in Illinois and am a HUGE Cardinals Fan!!
I was introduced to stamping by a friend at work and am doing a book party for our local SU demonstrator. I love everything I see so far and have been reading this forum for almost 2 months now, but haven't posted yet nor had I registered because I still haven't officially started stamping. hehe
I'm getting ready to purchase my first stamps, cs, inks, etc etc and have posted a message in the Stampin 101 forum for a list of basics so I know what I should get and what I could really wait for....do I really have to wait???????
I would appreciate any suggestions you all would have. I have been bookmarking a ton of sites I have found in here and I can't wait to make my first card. (which I will proudly post here for all to enjoy...if I like it!! LOL)
Welcome from Wisconsin! I love your enthusiasm!! Where in Illinois are you? We used to live in the Chicago area, and also have relatives in central (Princeton), IL and southern (Bethany), IL...
Hi, Welcome!! Ooooo, my husband is a BEG Cubs fan!!!! Than's OK, tho. Do you know the meaning of ADDICTION?!!! Maybe our DHs will start an SCS Anonymous for us, because this is SO addictive. I say it's like being in the family of stampers. By the way, I'm from way south in Iowa--only 3 miles from the Missouri border near Lake Rathbun.
I live about an hour and a half north of Princeton. What a coincidence.....My boss's husband calls this a stamp cult!!! LOL There are 5 of us at work and he thinks we're all addicted. I told him he couldn't put me in that category because I officially haven't stamped anything yet!! lmao

I think this is going to be great. I'm excited!!!
Don't know if this is a cult, but it IS one very loooooooong *surfin' party*. I can assure you that it is possible to become addicted to Splitcoast and never stamp anything. It's just so much fun to chat!!!

Helloooooooo
Hi and Illinois has some wonderful stampers ...lots of ideas and friendly help hope you find all of the wonderful stuff SU has to offer and see all of the great ideas here that shows it all off...
These are some of the basics I would suggest: Paper trimmer, paper snips, black ink, assorted cardstock, something to color stamps (markers, chalks, colored pencils), embellishments (buttons, ribbon, eyelets) and a bone folder.
