Okay, my 2 year old was insisting on making cookies this morning so I had a late start. But never fear, it's nap time so I can get going on this mega challenge.
I started off using a card I created for the Sketch Challenge.
WOOHOO - I am back after being gone for 4 days - seems like forever when I can't get on here!!! Am going to start this ASAP, thanks for all the challenges, I LOVE them!
Wow Julia, this is causing brain overload!! I chose mellow moss and close to cocoa for my cardstock colors and stuck with the same basic layout throughout. By the looks of others I may have been too rigid in my thinking!! I may have one or 2 more in me later, we'll see.
Okay, this confused me a little at first, but after looking at your examples, I think I got it!! And...it looks like fun!!! Now, to find the time... Hope I can participate in this one! I am going to try to take part in the oh so fun VSN this weekend, so I may be working right up until the deadline!! Woo hoo...what fun!

Great challenge Julia. I've been in Orlando with my Spring breaker and just got back and read the new challenge thread. We're leaving tomorrow for the beach and will return Sunday. Hopefully I can sneak this in. I'm going to take some supplies with me. Can't wait to see what everyone does.
K you can all call me a complete moron. I obviously didn't read the challenge guidelines well enough. I did mine w/ completely different layouts! I used the same color scheme and stuck w/ one set and a couple of greeting sets - but I didn't do it the way I was supposed to. Sorry! :(
Nope! Not too rigid...right on the mark. the original challenge was to use the same layout as well as the same colors and focal stamp. Some have deviated but that OK too...I won't send the challenge police out after ya!;)

That's what I was worried about! Glad to know it's all good.

Here's mine-I tried-- but I see now that style is something I should work on regularly to improve my stamping! Thanks so much for the challenge-I will try to think of it often when I plan my cards!
(All of mine are not the same layout either-one is really different from the other three.)
I have reread first post informing us of the challenge. I get from that, that we use the same stamps as the focal point and basically the same layout but make the cards different. Okay got that -- but do we stick with the same colors for each card or can the colors be different. I am soooooo confused!
Thanks -- from the looks of some of the other posts, we can change out craft for white, etc., as long as we keep the same basic color group that we started with.
When I looked at the pics I wasn't sure either, but re-reading the original post I get it now also. Yau all have made some wonderful cards today ladies!!!! but Here are 2 more for me:

Another moron who can't read here! I did several cards with the same set and same colors, but different layouts (duh), but now that I've seen what we are SUPPOSED to do, I'm gonna start over! I think I'll pick one of my layouts and go with it. Either way, I got in lots more stamping than I normally do--so thank you for the challenge!
Same colors, same layout, same stamps. It got confusing for me too!
Well slap me silly! I thought it was same stamp set, same colors (just arranged differently), but I didn't realize it was supposed to be the same lay-out...So...how do you create different cards if you are basically using the same color cardstock, the same color ink, the same stamp set, and the same layout? I don't know...but I'm just not getting it I don't think. I've done two cards, started on the third...I'm using the same colors (I chose to work with a group from the color wheel), cardstock and ink..but my lay-outs have been different. Someone please help me to understand, if you don't mind.:???:

OK, never mind. I finally get it!I got confused because I was looking at some of the cards posted and thought it was same everything except layout...but I re=read and now I think I've got it. Finally. Ok, I'm off(maybe literally) to start over again and gonna try to do it the right way this time. Glad I hadn't gotten to far before I checked here. Thanks anyway y'all. :

Julia...you gave us the information in the original post...I just didn't give much attention to it, once I started viewing the posts...I really don't think it was your post making it confusing...just my not paying attention to what you wrote in the post.
For this challenge, I decided to go back to my favorite set and my favorite lay out for it...Heartfelt Thanks:
Here are my first three cards for this challenge...I hope I am doing it right...I won't have time to do anymore tonight with my grandson's here. They will be here until Saturday morning, so my stampin time may be severly limited...:(.

(this one scanned very dark...I'll redo it later) I can't seem to get this one to scan well at all...it either comes out way to dark or way to light. I'll try taking a picture with the camera tomorrow and see if that will work any better...anyway, beneath the top layers I put the word "LOVE" in elegant eggplant and a little uneven so that it would have the look of an older style card.

I started with a card I uploaded a couple of weeks ago for a challenge. Then I made that card tied in with this week Technique Challenge, and then went from there to the Shabby version. They are as follows
I can't wait to play. All the cards I have seen are just incredible. Great job......Everyone! Thanks again Julia for an awesome challenge and congrats on your 1 year anniversary. Nancy
