IC06 - Striped Monogram Journal (Inspiration Challenge)

Inspiration Challenge #6 (Don't forget to add IC06 to your keywords please!)

Today's inspiration comes from a journal my brother gave to my daughter for Christmas. I just love the striped pattern and the monogram window.

I took my inspiration from pattern and monogram. I chose colors my daughter likes. Here is a link to my card:

Love your card. I won't be playing today. Gramma (that's me) took the little kids ice skating on Tuesday. TMALSS...... Fell down. Ice is hard. Sprained wrist. Bruised tailbone. Owch!

I did one. I just couldn't make myself do a monogram, since the only SU alphabets that I have are pretty tiny. Hope that's ok. But I did used some striped paper (at lieast a little bit). Stripes really aren't my thing, so I stamped on the paper with leaves from Petal Prints. Watercolor Wishes is a set that only demos could earn, so it's extremely neglected. I had it out to do a remake of another card (which I don't have done yet) and thought it would be perfect for this card. Here's my weathered rose card.

I took one look at that ispiration photo and said "Oh No". Not my colors at all so it's a good thing I could play off the stripes and monogram feature, but then that's what it's all about, right!

There really are no rules for this challenge -- so yes, they are easy. I want these to be fun!
