Sorry, been busy these past few days getting ready for my stamp camp this weekend. Late April or May sounds good too. Usually mid May there is a rubber stamp festival in Puyallup and want to go this year. So, let's see: April 28th, May 5th, May 12th? Those are good days for me. Where to meet? Depends on where others are coming from. I'm in Snohomish. My two friends are in Lynnwood. Does the Everett area sound okay with those interested? Is that too far north? We could do lunch at a Red Robin or something like that. Does anyone else have any ideas? Are you interested in a shoebox swap or just a finished card swap? Either one works for me. Karen
I used to go every year. Really enjoyed going. But I haven't been in a few years. Seemed as though there were less and less vendors. My favorites stopped coming and I was disappointed. But I want to go this year and see which companies are represented.
I always enjoy shoebox swaps. I've hosted a few of them and had so much fun. I love seeing other's ideas. So, if we do that we'd need a place that can provide space for that kind of activity. Any ideas?
Everett area (if I can find my way) will be fine. I am in Bothell/Mill Creek area. Finances and the economy being what they are for everyone I think we would be better to do either a brown bag lunch or bring a snack to share instead. I would prefer to focus on stamping and can fit eating in as I stamp. I think a shoebox swap would be fun actually as long as we are free to choose what stamps we want to use. (I don't demo for Stampin Up any longer).m
I'd be interested in a shoebox swap and April 28th or May12th are both good for me. I'm in Lynnwood so any of the locations are good for me. I also like the idea of a sack lunch or snacks to share. I wonder if we could get a room at a Library?
If everyone would like i could check with the Lynnwood or MIll Creek Library but we would need to have a definite date. It would probably be best to have two dates to choose from so we have more availability with the library. Let me know. I have rented library space in the past and jsut so that you all know there is to be absolutely NO SELLING of any kind (includes leaving out catalogues) so if you are a demo for a company you will not be able to do so. Food is generally accepted but beverages are yto be in close dcontainers for spillage purposes.
Let me know if you would like me to check into this with 2 dates in mind please.
May 12 would be better for me. I like doing a shoebox swap and idea of snack to share. If people are willing to travel to Redmond, I know you can book rooms at the Redmond Library. Let me know.
Either of those dates -- April 28 or May 12 works for me. Library room is a great idea if we can get one on one of those dates. Lynnwood or Redmond is fine with me whichever we can get a room at. I can check in the Kirkland or Bellevue library also if needed.

I will check the Lynnwood and Mill Creek libraries for April 28th and May 12th and let you know what I find out. I am thinking that either of these libraries would be the most centrally located for everyone traveling from the eastside as well as Snohomish.
I have contacted the Lynnwood Library and at this time they are not scheduling past the middle of April. I can get back to her the first of April and schedule for May 12. They only allow a two hour time slot for reservation but if there is no directly following us on that day we oculd stay there a while longer. Snacks are allowed as long as they will not cause a mess and of course liquids in covered containers. We definitely want to leave the library wanting us to reserve again.
Let me know if you are interested and a time slot would be good as well. I don't know about anyone else but I think either 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm would be good for me.
Also we need to decide if we definitely want to do the shoebox swap and how many we need to plan for. Also do we want to be specific as far as time involved for each swap so we have the opportunity to do all of them? Another option would be to just bring your own projects to work on.
I was also thinking of a library. Glad we are all on the same page. If Cheryl can reserve the room at the Mill Creek Library for either date Apr. 28/May 12th that would be great. I like the 1:00 - 3:00 time slot. That way if no one books the room for the next time and we still need the room we'd be able to use it. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you all in person. I do like the idea of a shoebox swap for sure. If we prepare the projects in kits for everyone (paper cut, any embellishments needed, etc) then it should go pretty well as long as the projects aren't too complicated. We'd all bring our own tool kits (adhesives, scissors, etc). How does that sound?
Sounds fun c3wham! We should probably go for 10 minute cards because if they're 8-10 people it would take around 1.5-2 hours to just do the swap if we were to stick to the 10-minute guideline.
I too am looking forward to putting faces next to all these screen names!
Northside / Eastside Puget Sound Stamping Get Together
Would everyone who is planning to attend the get together on May 12th at the library send me an e-mail at [email protected] so I can have a more accurate head count to give to the library please. The number we have planning to show up will determine the size of the room we get. Thanks
I was sitting here thinking about the project I would like to do for the shoebox swap and what all I would need to make it.
I am wondering if we should let others know if there is something else we would need in the line of special tools ie I am planning to do a watercolor project and with watercolor pencils. You would obviously need a watercolor brush and truthfully I do not share mine because of some problems I have had in the past. I do ALOT of watercolor projects and can't be without mine at this time.
What do you think?
Alo I will be booking the LYNNWOOD LIBRARY not the MIll Creek library as there is not meeting space available at Mill Creek.
I don't know 8f eveyone would have watercolor pens or remember to include them in their tool I will call some Everett area libraries too, since I would be coming the furthest.

Anyone that doesn't have a watercolor pen probably has a paintbrush or can get one pretty easily. That is what I use by choice.

Hi Cheryl... I have sent you my confirmation on your email! I am looking forward to this get together!!!
If the library doesn't work out, and you all don't mind the drive, we could have the swap at my house. I have hosted swaps and stamp camps with up to 20 ladies. I live in the rural part of Snohomish between Monroe and Lake Stevens. It's free and we could still bring our own lunches or do a pot luck as I have done in the past. Let me know what you all think.
Sorry ladies for not responding on the confirmation. I apologize but I need to bail out on this get together :( I was so looking forward to it but it has been very busy for me lately at work and at home; and I don't see it getting relaxed anytime soon. I hope I can join the next one, whenever it happens.
Has anyone booked a place to meet yet? I have held off booking the lynnwood library because there was talk of checking other sources. If you still owuld like to meet at the library on May 12th please let me know so I can get that done soon.
I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND BECAUSE OF IT BEING MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND BUT AM STILL WILLING TO SCHEDULE IT.
I can't believe this, but I have to bail out too. I didn't realize we had show tickets on the afternoon on the 12th. Would anyone be interested in a June get together??
Hi all! I'm in Bellevue (though the border of Bellevue and Redmond). Its kind of fun to hear from the other Washingtonians! Are you all thinking a shoebox swap in Lynnwood for June?
