NOVVSNH - 10:00 - "Chalk it Up"
Hi Everyone J this is NOVVSNH "Chalk it Up"
This challenge will is to create a "FAUX CHALKBOARD" with added embellishments .
...Grab your faux chalk ...and your faux chalkboard ...
(its your white or vanilla ink pad & your Black Cardstock must measure at least 4" x 5") ;)
Grab a few embellishments as well... eyelets, brads, ribbon, hardware... etc. but no coloring allowed (no usage of markers, chalk or crayons or any thing else of the like);)
Directions-- Using your ink pad, stamp on the black cardstock to create a picture..... just like you were back in kindergarten.
Use a heat gun to dry the ink quickly, or turn your stamped cardstock upside down onto clean scratch paper and gently rub to get some of the excess ink off, so the ink does not smear.
Add embellishments to liven up your card.
You can use colored cardstock behind the faux chalkboard to give your chalkboard a "framed" look, as I did in my samples. (so glad I can attach)
Remember... put NOVVSNH as your keyword for this challenge.
and you have 45 minutes from start to finish... get stamping!
Im looking forward to seeing all the creative creations, I had fun making the samples for tonights challenge... Enjoy!!

Neat challenge idea! Can the black cardstock measure 5 x 3.75 so it can be mounted on a 5.5 x 4.25 card with a 0.25 inch border on each side? Thanks!

That's the white pen... right... if so...
Yes, that would be fine. You would still be sticking to the "white ink"

I've never done this before, but thought it would be fun to try. I used Delightful Doodles & Mixed Greetings, but I have absolutely no idea how to get a picture from my camera to the computer or upload, and all my computer techies are out at the racketball club tonight, so I'm sorry, but I can't show it to you. It was fun to do this.
[edited] I uploaded mine (I think), but I don't know where it is to put a link here.

Ok, so it's a lot of writing for a chalkboard but
here's my card ! The red background is just there on the scanner so you can see the card base is white. Thanks for looking!
