This card uses two Stampin' Up retired items that I have not used for over two years...I think its time! Here is my card: The Loss of Another Loved One!

I pulled out an older set (Making Spirits Bright) randomly today. I was looking for something smaller that would fit on a tag to match a sketch and the drink images caught my eye.
I just finished a card that used ALL old stuff...even my coloring medium, wax woodless-coloring pencils, which I haven't used since I started using Copics back in 2012! Everything on this card has been in my stash for over five years...probably more like six years! Here is my card:Getting Ready for October Birthdays!

Hi Everyone! I am slowly trying to make it to each of your beautiful gallery entries! We have been busy with doctor's appt., chemo and trying to organize/move so we can get our little home sold. I have taken a break to create a card using some very old dsp along with a stamp set that I have hardly inked- SC692 Beautiful in His Time by Julie Gearinger - at Splitcoaststampers
Just finished my DIL's birthday card. She will be getting many oldies on her card from the old Magnolia stamp, stash paper remnants, lace, button, and an old, old Spellbinder die (Labels 9). She is getting a brand new sentiment and verse, but they are my invention and just hot off the press, so don't fit this challenge! LOL
Ugh!!!!! So many new releases and/or Labor Day sales.... I don’t need anything new. I need to use what I have. I saw a couple of things that are similar to what I already have, not enough different to buy.... so I’m going to “counterfeit” a few cards to show myself why I don’t need those sets.
Great idea Misti!! I am trying to do the same thing and not buy...I took a moment to create a quick and easy card using a digi image that I have not used in almost a year...
I have also been watching several YT videos regarding vintage junk journals- I have never heard of these but what a great way to use up some of our stash. I am getting addicted to this idea of creating journals with dsp, lace, buttons as well as eyelets and brads (I have not used any eyelets or brads in quite a while and have a ton). Plus washi tape....if I have a chance to create a large journal, I plan to post in my gallery (I have created several tags and a little booklet but have not had a chance to photograph them yet)... My favorite YT people to watch have been Nik the Booksmith, Gayle Agostenilli, Ephemera's Vintage Garden and Wendy's Adventures. This looks like a cross between card making, journaling and scrapbooking (with a bit of sewing :-)) Right up my alley for sure!!
Here is my card: A Mother-in-Law's Birthday Camping Celebration!
I used three Stampin' Up dies that I purchased over six months ago and have never used: The Swirly Bird (nest), the Flourish thinlits, and the Petals & More Thinlits (bird). I also used two stamp sets that I've never inked up before: Petal Palette (bird), Designer Tin of Cards (inside sentiment and also a retired stamp).

Picked up some cute elephant dies from Simon Says Stamp at the Stampaway show a few weeks ago - perfect for a baby card I needed for a co-worker who is expecting twin girls.
On my card, I used things that are mostly new and purchased over six months ago. I just cracked the cellophane on the "Bubbles & Fizz" dsp from the SU 2018 SAB and the "Picture Perfect Birthday" stamp set from the SU 2018 Occasions catalog, both were purchased in early February. My Lifestyles Eyelet Circles dies are really old...at least six years old...and they have not used in over four years.
Another card where I used all new items purchased over six months ago, and finally used: the patterned paper the "hugs" die, the flower punch, and the ribbon! I really need to quit buying things and then either never using it or taking a LONG time to use them! At least these were within the calendar year purchased!
Made a few cards with some old die cut butterflies that have been sitting on my desk for about 4 years. Trying to use them up. I had thought they were all used up until I went through the box that I am trying to use up and found more. This is not all of them but used quite a few on these cards.
I've avoided the temptation (so far) to buy new fall stamps. I pulled out this Power Poppy set & made a couple of cards with it. I can share this one for this week's CAS challenge:
