Question for someone who has seen the new catalogue. Are any colors retiring? I want to place an order for paper and ink but I don't want to buy anything that is retiring in a month.
There are no colors being retired. Don't think they'll do that for quite awhile. You are safe with cardstock, ink and markers. There are ribbons that are retiring, though. But the new catalog has some new styles of ribbons and I think all colors have at least one ribbon to match.
My blog, Stamped Sophisticates, includes Fancy Favors samples of the In Colors, also used Delicate Doilies stamp set, the Lace Robbon punch and the doily shapes from the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die.

Thanks in advance
No colors are retiring this year so order away! LOL!
Can anybody tell me if they're still going to offer 12x12 cardstock/patterned paper? I see all these 12x12 cardstock packs that are being discontinued, and freak OUT! I'm hoping they'll go back to smooth packages and separate textured packages, because I never want pre-textured paper.
Edited to add: Does anybody know how that stamp punch/die compares with the one that originally shipped with the Cuttlebug?
Thanks!

Reason: add something!
As you can see by the published Last Chance List, the 12x12 is being reconfigured, not retired. Noone liked the combo packs of smooth and textured! As far as other new products, we can't really share anything other than the sneak peak items at this point.

But I see that postage die used in things dated from May, so I was thinking it is in the current summer mini catalog. Am I mistaken? I have several friends who love my CB stamp die, and want to make them aware this one's available through SU if it's similar in size.

There is a postage stamp punch in the summer mini. I have no idea how it compares with cuttlebug dies...I sold my CB and all the stuff that came with...you might be able to find the dimensions on the CB website.
I've seen several references to the new Faith in Nature stamp set as being a Hostess Set, but I've also heard rumors that SU's rewards system is being revamped and that Hostess Sets are being discontinued. Is this something you folks are allowed to discuss, or are you under a gag order about this too? (Frankly, I don't know how you stand all this "top secret" silliness that goes on every June. It would drive me bug house!)
Can someone tell me if there are any new sizzix dies in the new catalog. TIA!
I have a samples from the Sizzix Perfect Pennant Bigs L Die. The die includes 3 penant sizes and two round doily shapes. I used the two doiley shapes on the samples located here.
I'm so happy to see these round shapes with fancy edges. I had the big penant die for over a year and never took it out of the wrapper. I may or may not use the pennant shapes on the new die; but these doiley shapes were the first items I opened to use from my sneak peek order! Love, Love, Love them!
I think it's okay to tell you that the hostess program is still in existence but is being totally revamped and that any of you that hold workshops for your demo will absolutely LOVE it :-)

there are still hostess sets but you get given hostess $ rather than the different levels of hostess sets so it makes it much fairer and you can also use the hostess $ to buy free stash from the cattie... plus if you hit over certain levels you get extra benefits like anything in the cattie at half price

Wow, that's great news! Much more competitive with the benefits from other DSA companies!

OK, let me re-phrase my question: can anybody tell me the dimensions of the postage stamp die in the summer mini catalog? Thanks!

This a great idea!! I'll bet there were people who did not hold a workshop because they had no interest in the Hostess sets that were offered .
Good Grief has SU put some new people in charge who listen to what their customers want ? LOL
Exciting new colors, Hostess rewards that mean something . WOW
Can't wait to get my catalog and see what other changes they made
Next they need to offer free shipping on a certain amount like $100. Their competitors are doing it! People with a $75 order would find another $25 to buy to get the free shipping

Hostess Dollars -- what a cool idea! It does, indeed, sound like someone at SU marketing is finally listening to the customers. As for the free shipping idea, I wish all y'all luck with that. It may happen state-side, but us Canucks will always have to pay for shipping. At least SU ships UPS World Ease, which is marvelous. We've got rotating postal strikes slowing down the mail up here now, so it's great to know that Brown's in charge of getting my SU orders to me.
