Finally uploaded my attempts at Paint Chips (or is it 'paintchips'?). I'd never have tried this if it wasn't for this challenge. Thanks for helping me 'step out of the box' - it really makes stamping much more fun (and challenging!!):
I uploaded this card y'day but was approved today.
Stamped paint prints on paint chip & then cut up the paint chip & lined them on orange cs. The images are clear embossed. The sentiment is also embossed on a paint chip. This is a 5x7 card. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Here are a couple more that I have done. The tree was cased and was my first attempt at wax paper. I am really liking this tech! Thanks for the challenge.
Oh, I love all these samples and do have a growing collection of paint chips.
Has anyone ever gotten in trouble for taking these from stores?
I frequent a Wal-Mart and they really do have a nice collection - different sizes even...but I do feel a little guilty taking these without even intending to purchase paint. However, I don't think I have ever gone into a Wal-Mart without spending money.
Anyone know of a resource to get these without guilt?

Jane, I really don't know of another source. I would be interested to know if there is one....it seems like you can buy just about anything these days!
I pick up just a few at a time, and not take ALL the samples of a particular color strip.
I look at it as free advertising for the paint company...it is possible that someone will get your card and absolutely fall in love with one of the colors on the paint chip and have to paint their living room in that color. Then the next room over looks a little shabby compared to the new walls, so then that's more paint sold by the company.
Here's mine. I did this for a swap on Stampin Canada and also I made a few for Christmas cards. I also forgot to mentioned I CB the cs before I used the SU Top Note. The Sparkley foam snowflake is from Michaels.
