Thanks for the info. I knew Xanadu was out of business so I haven't been out that way lately. I'll have to check those out when I go to Indy next time.
I was at the fall event and it was awesome! I would love another full day of stamping and chatting with other stampers, but Bloomington may make it a little tough for me. I know there were several ladies that traveled a great distance to get there, but I think the great majority of us were from Indy and the surrounding areas.
I don't know what Law_Wife plans to do with the Southern Indiana meet. I feel bad that I cannot help but I have a conflict with the April 5th date (my MIL bd celebration) so I can't make that one.
I am planning to have the 3rd Annual Central Indy one probably in late April or early May. I will be starting a new thread when I have a date and location firmed up.

I don't want to compete with Puggins so I'm willing to let my planning go if you all would rather mark her event on your calendar. She, obviously, has more experience than I do in planning a stamping event.
Hey...there is no competition here. It sounds like there were several from Southern Indiana that were interested...so by all means go ahead with your planning. There is room for lots of stamping events :p I say the more the merrier!

I agree with Kathy! The more opportunities I get to stamp with a bunch of SCS'ers the better! Since I live in Indy - I can go south (to Bloomington say) or stay central or even a little bit north and it works for me!
Law_Wife - keep us posted. I too have read lots of interest in a Bloomington location.
Kathy beat me to it, but I have to chime in and also say, I am more than willing to attend both! Since I moved from CA, I miss getting together with my stamping friends, and just haven't found my Bloomington Stamping Sistahs! Law-Wife, plan ahead! Keep us posted! I wanna come!

Well, I'm so glad to see that there is interest for the one here in Bloomington. I think we should go ahead with it!! I'll put together a plan and run it past those of you who offered to help.
I would definitely be interested in attending both stamping events. I had so much fun and met so many amazing women at the 2nd Annual Central Indiana SCS Gathering. I am always eager to stamp!

I just got an email from a friend of mine who is advertising an all day crop. Here is the details:
All day crop on Saturday, February 2nd from 9:00-5:00 at a local church on
Strain Ridge Road, in Bloomington, Indiana. The cost is $10.00 and includes
lunch, beverages, snacks, and fabulous door prizes. There will be a make and take project as well.
Any proceeds left after the cost of food etc. will be donated to the church. Great food, super door prizes, fun company, and a really nice space to work.
Please RSVP to Suz Daniels ([email protected]) by January 25th if you'd like to attend. You won't be sorry!!
Suz will give you the directions to the church when you RSVP.
I think we're on for April 5th. I reserved the Banneker Coummunity Center here in Bloominhgton for April 5th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. The price of the rental is $200 for the 8 hours and that includes the use of their HUGE gym, and their tables and chairs!
I also checked around for catering and found a great company that will do a buffet that includes a green salad, 3 wet salads, 2 entrees, roll, and coffee and tea for $8.95 per person.
So, what do you ladies think?
I would like to attend. Please add me to the list. Thanks for organizing this. It sounds great!

just wondering if there is anything in the works for this...
I've had some work stuff come up, so I'm not sure when I will organize the Central Indy event. I am still shooting for May time frame, but we will see :p
I don't see any updates, so not sure where the Bloomington event stands. Maybe there is a new thread for that one.

bloomington is just too far.
i would be willing to drive to indy (which is still almost an hour)
maybe i will remember to check back in may.
hope your work stuff goes well and thank you for replying
What about the convention at the fairgrounds the first weekend in March - are any SCS'ers going to that? lol...since I'm working one of the booths...I had to make a plug ;)

I will plan on stopping by to see you. We will probably be there early on Saturday. Hope the weather will be better than last year! We used to be almost neighbors when I lived in Camby. Debbie
if it's possible, i would also like to come to the event. (provided there isn't some sort of major disaster that prevents me) my BIL lives in Bloomington and i know the are, i'm from Chesterton, but could stay at his house. i've never been to a crop before, how much stuff do i really need to bring? also, if there's anyone from northwest indiana who might want to carpool, that might be another idea.

Cool! My Sat hours are 9:30 to 3:30 and Sun is 1-5. I think it actually ends at 4. SO - Camby, huh? We go to the new Menards there quite often and sometimes I shop at the Meijer's. There putting in a brand new Walmart next to Menards and I"m really excited about that - I've been going to the one in Plainfield so that will be closer to home. Between Just a Little Bit Moore and that - I won't need to go anywhere else
I'm gonna subscribe to this thread so I can keep up to date on that crop in B-town (I lived there for a few years) - it would be fun to go back!
So, many of you have pm'd me wondering if I was still going to plan something here in Bloomington. Unfortunately, I'm a bit nervous to do so because I have also received pm's from others telling me that I should just let Puggins do her event because she's been so successful with her gatherings. I'm not sure what to do from here. I have never planned a gathering but would like to do it sometime.
Anyways.....that's where I'm at now.
I have a place we can do the gathering at, and have found a caterer to do lunch. The gathering would be $20 for all day which would include lunch, door prizes and several make and takes. Am I missing other things that would be good for a gathering? Someone suggested a "For Sale" table for those scrappers that would have things (stamps, etc.) they are trying to sell.
