Cardstock - Use as much as you want. Even newbies generally have a lot of that because they come in multi-packs.
So, I can go nuts on patterned paper, and different colors of paper, but can only use 2 inks...
but as an accessory I can use colored pencils or watercolor crayons? But I have to count that as 1 of my embellishments. So can I use as many of the colors in those pre-packaged sets as I want?

Yes. The crayons or pencils are one accessory, but you can use as many as you want! :-D

don't want to beat a dead horse here...but would an aquapainter or a blender pen be the second accessory?
When I think of "two accessories" I think of the back of the catalog, and pick 2 items from there, excluding adhesive.
THIS WAS HARD!! I forget how to make a simple card! Geesh! I was planning to use brads until I realized I'd already used markers to color, and I'd need a hole punch too so that would make 3 accessories. I had to improvise and use markers to color brads onto the hardware piece and the slit punch. Challenging challenge, Jen!
Okay... Here is my REAL submission. (wasn't too happy with my card last night)... I must be in the Christmas spirit or maybe just wishing the summer would be over ( I HATE the summer)!! Thanx so much for looking, and thanx for the awesome challenge! It was fun
What a challenge, Jen! The 2 accessories were what gave me the problem. Started to sponge the panel then thought that sponge was probably an accessory putting me over the limit, so locked it away!! Old Heifer
2 stamps: Michaels $1 sentiment, Penny Black cow
2 inks: Just Stazon
2 access: circle punch and Primas

This is getting complicated! LOL! We do collect a lot of stuff for our hobby, don't we? Technically, it is. But just like the EP and heat gun, eyelets and a setter, and brads and a tiny whole punch, let's let it slide. ;) When I was thinking of specialized tools, I was thinking of stand alone tools like a distressor, crimper, coluzzle, and punches.

That's very cool! I was making it harder on myself...and quite frankly was in a panic, LOL! :o Hopefully I can play in a little while!!

Pardon my stupidity, but what is a distressor? Is that an actual tool?

Jen, I must say, this was a really hard challenge. I uploaded my card, but it just doesn't look complete. I'm really gonna have to add to it. Here's my red roses.
I loved having to limit myself because I can get so carried away with everything! So once again Thank you thank you thank you (see what I mean about getting carried away?) for giving me a new point of view. I love my sahara sand watercolor crayon, I washed the images with that!
I did it! I enjoyed this challenge. It was hard not using any printed papers! I used Print pattern instead. I used the ribbon and the sponge as my emblishments. I wanted to give the ribbon a bit more color so I ran it across the Ruby Red ink pad. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
Don't you just hate it when people can't read and follow instructions!!! GUILTY, GUILTY!! I had a "stuck on stupid" moment and thought I couldn't use more than 2 inks, not thinking I was supposed to use 2 inks. I am so AR that I had to make things right with the Stamping Goddess or I could never live with myself. Rather than go in and remove the LSC76, I revamped my card by punching a new circle and doing DTP in cow pie brown. Whew, carrying around this guilt is more than I can handle!! Now I'm off to give myself 40 lashes with a wet baby wipe!!
