My suggestion is to avoid the saran wrap.......has never worked for me. I use Stitch Witchery instead. Always works and the paper really stays stuck.
Layer scratch paper on your ironing board. Then your CS, Stitch Witchery, crumpled napkin (peeled down to one layer), scratch paper. Iron slowly until SW is melted.
You can try the same sandwich with Saran Wrap but make sure you don't have plastic wrap made to go in the microwave as it will NOT melt.

1. Stamp your images onto tissue paper.
2. Layer your issue paper over a piece of Saran wrap and a piece of cardstock, with the Saran in the middle - like a sandwich.
3. Now "sandwich" all three pieces between two pieces of scrap paper
4. Heat your iron up, and iron through your scrap paper, you'll want the iron hot enough to melt the Saran wrap, but keep moving your iron or you'll burn your tissue paper!
5. Iron the tissue paper, Saran wrap, & C/S together.
6. Use as desired.
p.s. pretty pre-printed napkins and kleenex will work too, just make sure you peel them apart until you're down to just one layer;)
What I have used is freezer paper - normally used to wrap meat for the freezer. One side is coated with plastic (kinda like a layer of Saran Wrap). Put the tissue paper on the plastic side and then iron to fuse them together. Don't forget to cover with scrap paper before you iron.
Thanks for all these great suggestions. This technique is very close to what I remember by grandmother doing to make birthday cards for all of her grandchildren using kleenex & dried flowers.
What is the outcome supposed to be for this technique? Does it melt the napkin onto the card? I tried it with the freezer paper and it melted the napkin into the freezer paper.... am I doing it wrong?
God bless

I would assume by the directions above if you use freezer paper instead of saran wrap or stitch witchery you would be melting the tissue onto the freezer paper and would have to attach the freezer paper to your cardstock. I think:-D

Thanks..g
Yup,......napkin face up. Think of the saran/freezer/stitchwitchery as being the adhesive. Make sure you peel it apart so it is only one thin layer too.

Another great way to adhere napkins well and they smell go is by beeswax. I've been doing this for years and will be teaching a class in Akron ohio this weekend at the Adventures in Stamping convention.

AND....the easiest way of all........run paper through your Xyron and then lay single layer of the napkin over the adhesive. Really quick and no iron needed.
