Question ISO template or instructions for gift cards

I am desperately searching for a template or instructions to make a gift card holder. Every Christmas I give out about 10-15 gift cards to people and wanted to make a holder instead of having to buy one. Last year I used little jewelry boxes and it was a pain because I had to wrap them too. I would ike something like the ones they give you for the cards in like Victoria's Secret, just a little envelope thingie. Before I go nuts trying to make one up myself I figured I'd ask all of you SUPER SMART AND RESOURCEFUL CHICKIES out there!

If you go to the gallery and type in "gift card holder" you'll get lots of samples of different cards/holders. I've made two myself...one I just made a mini envelope the size of the gift card and then incorporated the mini envelope on a full size card. The other one I made a "mini pocket" card. I cut the paper a little wider than the gift card and then the same height as the gift card. Folded the paper in half and then folded the top part of the front layer down so you'd see the card peeking out. That example is in my gallery here

This probably sounds too simple but I take a regular size envelope, wheel it up front/back (or you could stamp it up - but I love using my wheels). Stick the gift card in the middle of the envelope (with the lip pulled up) then just pull both sides together, pull the lip down, and tie with a ribbon. I got this idea from my SU demo - I didn't make it up myself. I'll try to attach pics of it b/c it's easier to see than read.

Thanks, that's a great idea...I'll have to give it a try.

I made some of these recently and all I did was make a regular card, and on the inside, I used a small piece of cardstock with 2 pieces of ribbon attached to it (ends of ribbon glued to back of cardstock, then cardstock glued to card) to hold the gift card in place. Very simple and turned out pretty cute too.
